"Our recent stay was all that we had hoped for, and more! Accommodations were first class, extremely comfortable and so well located to the Railyard District. A 10-15 minute walk takes you to the Plaza and other Santa Fe attractions. We are so glad that we have found such a luxurious place to stay--we will be back for sure."

"Our expectations were exceeded by this Casita!!! Staying at this Casita was extremely pleasant and made our vacation much more memorable and satisfying. Charming, very comfortable and fantastic location! Very clean and so quiet. The amenities of the house were far more than adequate, and the personal touches really added to the charm! The artwork and books really gave us a sense of the location. To sit in the patios was much needed relief from city living!!!!! With the Mesilla Plaza so close to the doorstep, this house makes for a wonderful getaway! Restaurants, entertainment, gift shops, etc., are right down the street!
We came for a family reunion in Las Cruces and as the families visited the Mesilla Plaza, they would ask where we were staying. I would point down the street and say, "See that car down there..". They couldn't believe it! My parents remarked as to how authentic and beautiful the house was, as well as the neighborhood. Tamra made the process very easy and made it a pleasure arranging our stay. No problems whatsoever! We shall return!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

We plan on spending more time in that magical spot
"Wow. We can not recommend a stay at Gallina Canyon Ranch enough. If you're dreaming of a peaceful retreat in which you can just simply soak up the beauty of the Earth, then this is your place. My husband and I stayed at the Wilderness Ranch Casita for two nights and found it to be a comfortable refuge after a long day of hiking the property. We ate our meals on the porch-with-a-view and chuckled at the begging kitties. The kitchen was fully-stocked with everything we could need. Fabulous tasting water and no problems with the hot water in the shower. The composting toilet will surely be a new experience to most but we both agreed that it was easy and amazingly 100% odor-free.
My favorite part of the home was the beautiful artwork and great library to peruse. Oh and the sleeping deck! Sadly, we were too tired at night to even make our way up there but SO did enjoy having our morning coffee there amongst the hundreds of curious hummingbirds. When we return (& we will be returning), we plan on spending more time in that magical spot.
We hiked into the Anasazi cabin and rested there a bit in its cool hammock. We thought it would be a great place to stay.... more like glamping than the casita. The outdoor shower there is ridiculously cool with its unbelievable views. And a fun swimming spot is right at that site, as well. We continued on hiking and made it all the way to the Remote Cabin 4 miles in, crossing the Gallina riverbed 13 times. But before reaching that, we found flags that led off-trail to fascinating petroglyphs carved into the canyon wall. To see them up close & personal, and to feel like we'd discovered them ourselves was one of my favorite memories from that day.
The Remote Cabin looks like something out of a movie. Truly remote & would be a wonderful place to completely relax, rest, and ponder life for a while. I want to mention the drive into the ranch. It indeed took us over an hour to travel the 15-16 miles back. While absolutely breathtaking and an adventure indeed, it can be sketchy (narrow, rocky or rutted) in places. We were certainly thankful that the road was nice & dry for us.
I do know that David / Andrew will come pick you up if the conditions for driving are too dangerous for the type of car you're driving. We were in a small convertible and besides some awful-sounding times when rocks would bash against the underside, the drive was fine. Also, bring all the groceries you'll need because I promise you will not want to drive out"
