"We stayed in this house with another family so had four adults and two children overall. Let me start out by saying the owner was very attentive. He gave us a tour of the home on the first night and texted me the next day to ensure all was well. He even let us stay a little later on checkout day knowing that our flight was late in the afternoon. He also provided a drawer full of brochures and maps that were helpful for getting around town and deciding what to do. The house itself is a little quirky, but charming. It is obvious that there was an original house that has had additions put on, which means that there are several small steps or grades to get around the house and the stairs to the loft are pretty narrow. That is not a negative, just an observation. Because of this setup, my husband's and my bedroom was on the opposite side of the house as the other couple's, which gave us an even greater feeling of privacy even though we were all in one house. My friend really loved reading in the sunlight of the loft. The boys really loved the woodburning stove in the backyard and we used it to make s'mores. The house has some minor cosmetic damage, but nothing that couldn't easily be overlooked. There were plenty of linens provided and the towels were very plush and thick. Overall, it was very clean, spacious, and a short drive to shopping and downtown. We would stay there again."

"Casa Azul provided one of the best VRBO experiences we have had, and we have traveled a lot. Its location in Old Town Albuquerque, and its traditional Southwest architecture make this an easy choice for a romantic getaway, or as a starting point for adventure, shopping, exploring, and fine dining. Fun day trips include taking the tram to the top of Sandia Peak and hiking to Kiwanis cabin; taking the Turquoise Trail (Hwy 14) to Madrid, and Santa Fey; taking the Jamez Mountain Trail (Hwy 4) to Bandalier National Monument and the hot springs at Jemez Springs.
Casa Azul's garden gate opens to a public parking lot, directly North of Backstreet Grill. It is steps away from multiple small shops, fine dining, art studios, etc. Within 3 blocks, there are three museums, 2 parks, a church built in 1706, and possibly one of the finest photo galleries in the Southwest, (APG). Don't forget to stop at the olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting room. Yes, it is real, and worth the stop. It's only about 50 steps South of the gate.
The well appointed, clean and efficient living space of Casa Azul includes beautiful art, and absolutely everything needed to make for a comfortable and convenient stay. The private garden provides added security and a great place to relax. The owner is super accommodating, and a pleasure to deal with. We do not hesitate to give 5 stars."

"We stayed here for spring break this past year with 4 adults and 4 kids. The house was perfect and spacious. We enjoyed the seclusion and setting in the woods far away from anyone else. The kitchen was well-equipped and we cooked all of our meals there with no issues. As stated previously, no window treatments, so we went prepared and took our own "treatments" to use for the week. The hot tub was great but need to make sure it isn't in "vacation" mode so it actually heats up...better directions on this would be useful but we lucked out as the maintenance guy came our second day and got it squared away. Garage was nice to have as well to unpack/pack at the beginning and end of the trip as well as for skiing each day. We definitely plan to come back here!"
