  • Loved Every Minute !

"Los Palacios is amazing! My three year old, husband and I spent a week here this past summer. The house is wonderful with every possible thing available. The house is beautiful and rooms are all wonderfully decorated and charming. My three year old adored the tending to the chickens and playing with Blanche the house cat. The house is close to both Abiquiu and Espanola. I was able to drive to Ghost Ranch where I was taking a workshop in around 20+ minutes. Susan is always available to answer any questions about the house or your arrival into the area. We loved our stay here and hope to come back in the near future. Thanks for everything!"

  • Cozy, quiet cottage

"The area in which the cottage is located is very peaceful, which is what we were looking for as a break from big city life. The neighborhood is a mix of full-time and vacationing residents. The cottage reminded us of going to see grandma in that it's older yet homey and comfortable. The wraparound porch is a great place to hang out, and we enjoyed having our morning coffee and tea there while looking at the view. For most of our stay there was a constant cool breeze, which was great in that we could open up the screened windows and doors. It got a little toasty the final three days we were there, so the window AC unit was put to use in the early afternoon through mid-evening. Otherwise, the windows and doors were open. A ventilation fan in the bathroom is needed, but it's not something that is unmanageable. The owners are great communicators and responsive, something that is a big plus in our book. The breakfast table is a good spot for putting together a jigsaw puzzle. Our dogs enjoyed the stay, too, and made friends with two of the local dogs. There's great exercise in the form of walking to be had. Steep hills, so if you go down, you must walk back up. We enjoyed our daily walks and took different routes to see where we'd end up. There are many deer in the area. They come out in the early morning and early evening. They're part of the neighborhood, in that you'll see people in their yards and the deer will be nearby munching away on vegetation. We also liked the cottage's location because it is close to town without being in town. A short drive down the hill and we were in town. Glad for our stay."

  • Perfect!

"From start to finish, Bobbie made this a wonderfully pleasant experience for us and our two Labs! She could not have been more welcoming. And the casita is more than we'd hoped for in every way....it seems larger than its square footage, is full of beautiful art work, natural light, and has the best equipped vacation kitchen I've ever seen! We cooked, ate out, walked, shopped, and did our fair share of sight seeing. I think our favorite find was the dog park suggested by Bobbie. We were able to walk the perimeter while the dogs played..a win-win for all of us! Our month in Santa Fe couldn't have been better. Thanks to Bobbie, the perfect casita, and the beauty and charm of Santa Fe!"

  • Peaceful and beautiful retreat

"I came here with my husband and two girls age 6 and 8. The casita was perfect for all of us! It is simple and beautiful and very comfortable. Julia really thought of everything we might need. Having breakfast food here ready for us when we arrived was incredibly useful after driving up in the evening. My girls had to fight over who got which banco! The boncos are these cute cozy corners that double as couches and turn into a comfortable place to sleep at night. The bed in the main bedroom was incredibly comfortable as well. Coming from Baltimore where the trees are dense and tall we loved waking up to the amazing, expansive views just outside the door! The colors are absolutely stunning and constantly changing throughout the day. We got to Santa Fe, Taos, and Ojo Caliente all easy drives from the casita. We loved the simplicity and beauty of being here at the casita. If you are looking for a restful and inspiring place to stay you will be happy here."
