  • Walking distance to the Plaza

"This is the second time I've stayed in this house in the past year. It's just a few short blocks to the plaza and right along Artist road going up to the ski area. This was a cycling trip for us. Very easy to ride out from the house to the ski area and back, then just a walk into town for lunch. Made for a great weekend."

  • Like home

"This older pueblo style home is long on charm and character while providing all the modern amenities. It is very tastefully decorated and has is very well equipped with everything from a popcorn popper to a crock pot. We especially enjoyed the private courtyard enclosed by an adobe fence, where we could look at the plants, gaze across the farm field behind the house and look at the incredible New Mexican sky. The owners, Bill and Janislee, live across the road. The struck an excellent balance of being attentive and helpful without being intrusive. We felt very comfortable in this house and it was like coming home after some sightseeing or taking a bike ride along the superb trail along the Rio Grande, which is visible from the house. This house is great for two people. It could get tight with older children or with visitors of more than a few days. We would count ourselves lucky to return to this house if we get back to Albuquerque."

  • Lovely pet friendly, house!

"We were happy to find this house last minute for a reasonable price that was pet friendly. It was a little north of downtown Santa Fe, so a bit of a drive for everything (hiking, rafting, etc.), but all doable. The house itself was really nice. I loved the bathroom, that shower was so relaxing! The farm animals in the barn were fun to go visit; the dogs were definitely intrigued by them. The owners were very friendly and helpful as well! We would stay here again!"

  • Way Beyond Expectations;))

"We had a wonderful time at The Skies@Taos. The photos do not show the vast expanse of space in the house and picture perfect views of surrounding mountains from almost every cardinal pt. We used four of the five bedrooms as we had two/three other couples stay with us several days during our week. We had several evening cookouts on the patio using the outdoor gas grill. There's also a charcoal grill (old school). We did not fire up the kiva fireplace, but it looks nice in the corner of great room(~25x30x12). A week prior to visit Brook sent us almost a dozen emails with precise directions, history, events, dining etc. We went white water rafting on Rio Grande in August. River was running only 350cgs instead of 1500, so it was a Disney style slow mostly lazy river 2.5hr morning. Nearby Taos Mesa Brewery became our go to hangout for beer and live music. We also enjoyed several fine restaurants in downtown, about 10min by car. After over 30years of visiting SW, we finally saw the 90th Burning of Zozobra in Santa Fe, usually labor day weekend. Any history buff would be very very impressed as we were. We would highly recommend this house for R&R, artistic, spiritual, and environmentally conscious (Earthship project is 20min away) people.
