  • Magical Home & Excellent Location

"We organized and hosted a reunion in Santa Fe this fall. We were so fortunate to book Casa Martita for our event. There are so many excellent features about the house, I'm sure I will forget to mention all of them. The kitchen and dining area worked perfectly for us. The sitting areas are beautifully decorated and extremely comfortable. We had 8 people staying at the house which worked very well. The rest of our group stayed at hotels and with friends who live in Santa Fe. The neighborhood is very beautiful and quiet, and a very easy drive to the plaza. Everyone in our group commented on how much they liked Casa Martita. This wonderful home really contributed to the amazing success of our event. We hope to hold our next Santa Fe reunion at Casa Martita. I highly recommend this beautiful home! Five Stars!!!!!"

  • Getting away from everything

"My husband and I spent three days at the Casita. Coming from Texas, it was such a relief getting away from the heat! Our stay could not of been more relaxing. It seems all of your worries and stressors just float away. The ranch is beautiful and the Casita was very comfortable. Elizabeth and Andrew put a lot of hard work into the ranch. Their attention to detail really added to our comfort. We spent every afternoon relaxing on the sleeping porch enjoying the cool breeze and wonderful views. We really appreciated all of the fresh vegetables and my husband is still talking about the fresh eggs. All in all, it was a great experience."

  • Introspection Ahead...Just Bring Yourself...

"I am deeply humbled and honored to be so blessed with the nurturance of Mother Earth and the beautiful "Stewards" of this amazing retreat. The solitude tapped my creative self and opened the door for excessive reading of the books provided & drawing things that must've been channelled! The weather conditions transformed daily and I smiled big when a snowstorm covered my car the one day I ventured into reality. Every single thing massaged my heart...the big picture window open while bathing, deep sleep upon an amazing bed, lovingly prepared food...eaten by candlelight, reading outside on the blessed land, walking the labyrinth in a meditative state, hiking for the pure Joy of the smells, personal massage by a lovely and gifted neighbor, gifting the children with a large stuffed bear, wearing my camping PJ's all day (!), and writing...always writing. When I return, the only thing I will do differently is to add some days. Blessings for such a wonderful Journey and being part of the landscape."

  • Escape from winter in Wyoming

"We are a recently retired couple wanting to get away from the snowy weather in Wyoming. This house was perfect for us and our 13 year old black lab, who we didn’t want to leave behind for a month. We stayed for the month of February 2014 and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. We hiked the trails at Aguirre Springs, Dripping Springs and Soledad Canyon in the Organ Mountains and enjoyed them all. All were within about a 30 minute drive from the house. We climbed nearby Picacho Peak and loved the views of the whole valley and city of Las Cruces from the top. On all of these hikes we recommend you bring bottled water. Note to dog owners, dogs may pick up burrs in their paws from dried plants in this area and are not permitted on some trails. We attended a wonderful, free New Horizons orchestra concert at the New Mexico State University campus and went to the huge Farmers Market downtown one Saturday. We also took day trips to Silver City, Emory Pass and the White Sands. There are many more sights to see, but some of them might require overnight stays. The house is quiet and restful. The sun room is well suited to sewing if you bring along a sewing machine. The house has an ironing board and iron. We dined at some great restaurants in the Old Mesilla, but also cooked a lot and used the grill several times. The kitchen has everything you need. We often used the pellet stove in the mornings and evenings and enjoyed the coziness it provided while reading, although the furnace provides ample warmth for the occasional winter chill. TV is limited to a few channels off air (no cable) or you might visit a video rental store (yes, we saw one). The drive into town past orchards and fields is lovely. The fruit trees were starting to bloom when we left at the beginning of March. It is a very relaxing, comfortable home and suitable for families. If you need big spa-like bathrooms and marble counter tops in the kitchen this home is not for you. We would definitely come back again."
