  • Writer's Retreat

"I wanted a nice, quiet place without traffic, noisy neighbors, or barking dogs, and this home filled the bill for allowing me to complete two writing projects during my month in the badlands north of Tesuque. This place is even lovelier than the pictures show. The pinions have come back after the bark beetle invasion, and there is a stunning view of the Santa Fe Opera House from all the front windows over the terrace. The Four Seasons Resort is just over the ridge for a deluxe restaurant and even well-marked hiking trails. There, Hans and Marge run Adventure excursions and can arrange any sort of special outing. Down in Tesuque there is also the more informal Village Market with terrific pizzas and home-made pies. The easy drive into Santa Fe brings you first on the right to the Santa Fe Spa, the only real gym in town, where everyone works out. In recent years I have spotted Daniel Craig, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Neil Patrick Harris pumping iron. You never know who you will run into in Santa Fe!"

"This was the best place we stayed for our week away. A very convenient location, super clean, fast Internet, and groovy charm. Most highly recommended."

  • Wonderful and Peaceful

"My teenage son and I visited the area in early August had a wonderful time. Our hosts were very hospitable and provided great company. Upon arrival, we discovered heavy rains the night before would make the journey through the ranch a challenge, however Andrew and Elizabeth took great care to make sure we could safely reach the casita. The building was well equipped with cooking equipment and the veggies from Elizabeth's garden made our meals a feast. The location provided lots of great hiking with amazing views. The afternoons were spent wading in and around the banks of the Rio Gallina and the evening sky was great opportunity for my son to use his telescope. Being at the remote casita for a few days provided a nice escape from the world and allowed us to rest and relax in peace. The whole time spent at the ranch was amazing and memorable. We plan to return again next year. Thanks!"

  • GREAT!

"We had a WONDERFUL time staying in this beautiful cabin! As soon as you walk in it feels like home away from home. The cabin has everything you need in case you forget anything and not to mention plenty of room for the whole family. We had a great time staying here and skiing at Apache Run, which is only 12 miles away. Definitely looking forward to going back. Thank you Annette!"
