  • A cozy get-away

"My husband and I have stayed here several times in the past few years. We keep coming back because: the cabin is comfortable; we have the best of two worlds -- a lovely stream over which the balcony is located, and high desert hills and mountains surrounding the property (perfect for hiking); lovely owners who are eager to share their knowledge with you; and easy access to both Taos and Santa Fe (Taos being the closer of the two.). The pictures accurately depict the does the description. For dog lovers, the owners have three very friendly dogs who love to visit you and get petted. An abundance of flowers and plants are everywhere to be enjoyed. The owners, tho' friendly, do not intrude in any way. There's a cafe in town that has decent food and a ways up the road is a little resturaunt called 'Sugar Nymphs' which has excellent food...their desserts are to die for! We always hate to leave, tho' when we do we are always rested and relaxed. I most heartily recommend this for two people who want to have a romantic and nature-filled time of r&r."

  • Dixon Fiestas!

"Holly was an awesome host we enjoyed spending the weekend with our family on their beautiful property! The guest house was VERY CLEAN and had more then enough room for our family of 6. ( 4 adults 2 children) It had everything you can imagine, home away from home definitely coming back! The pool was UNBELIEVABLE! So very inviting, warm, and crystal clear! Over all this property is definitely one of a kind! I strongly recommend this retreat!"

  • Quiet and Quality

"This was the place where our family had a wonderful few days cooking fabulous meals in the well equipped kitchen, and then we could walk along the river to relax and digest. We walked easily to the grocery store for provisions, but there were already a number of spices and herb teas waiting for us. One of my favorite features was the clean bathtub and plenty of good hot water to fill it. The linens were a high quality so sleeping was a pleasure, in that cool desert night air. It was lovely to have a little fire in the woodstove before retiring. Definitely a place to return to!!"

  • Nido del Rio--center of exploration and relaxation

"We are repeat customers at the Nido--two weeks last year and nearly three weeks this year. It is a very comfortable home set in a laid-back, rural environment, surrounded by a small orchard. While isolated, it is an easy drive to locations such as the Rio Grande del Norte National monument, Bandelier National Monument, Ghost Ranch, and the galleries and museums in Taos and Santa Fe. Hiking, Fishing, rafting, and dining opportunities abound. The small coop in nearby Dixon can fill most of your grocery needs and the local wineries and brewery produce excellent libations. Add in a varied but generally agreeable spring climate in northern New Mexico, it all sums up to a relaxing and inspirational respite from day to day affairs."
