"The Bear House was perfect for our family. My husband and I enjoyed the large master bedroom and our adult daughters each had their own bedrooms. The house is very spacious and so well decorated. I'm a big fan now of Taos blue. The kitchen was great, however, we never cooked in since we were always out and about. It was about a 10 minute walk into town, so we typically drove but it was nice being to get there so easily. My one daughter spent hours on the piano - that was a unique touch (guess I need to get our piano at home tuned now). A few minor areas for improvement - the showers could be improved - we never figured out how to use the overhead part of the one in the master bathroom and the girls said their shower was very low with bad pressure. Also, we would have liked shades on some windows - the bathroom in the hall and the small window in the master bedroom. We had to improvise to keep the sun from making a direct hit in our face in the morning. The house was always a perfect temp no matter the outside temperature. I would definitely recommend the house and would love to come back again to Taos and Bear House."

"We were 2 families from Texas (4 adults, 3 children) and spent 5 nights in this beautiful home. The amenities were incredible: each bedroom has a private bathroom, there are 2 large kitchens, and 2 balconies. The children occupied the 1st floor complete with a hot tub and a pool table, and unless we were sightseeing we never saw them. The views from each balcony were beautiful and peaceful too, and we spent each morning and sunset seated outside watching deer pass by. The owners were kind hearted and easy to work with as well which made booking a breeze. I would recommend this large home to families with children as well as to large groups of friends without children. We truly enjoyed our visit!"

Great Location, Perfect Getaway Weekend Condo with the Husband/Wife
"My wife and I arrived at this condo toward the end of a week-long snow storm that dumped close to 7 feet onto Taos Ski Valley. Our arrival was very tricky, as the roads were snowy and many people (including ourselves) became stuck. The condo's parking is not accessible if there is a lot of snow and you do not have a 4WD. Gail (the property manager) was very helpful though, we arrived 4 hours late (toward 11PM) and she made herself available and helped us find a place to park our car (and get unstuck). The property itself is perfect for a couple, and the kitchen is fully functional, which was very convenient for us."

"The Canons Cabin was clean and well-appointed, with gracious hosts, and absolutely beautiful surroundings. We appreciated the little homey touches, such as nice quilts and interesting artwork on the walls. Already looking for dates for our next visit. As seasoned NM travelers, we were looking to be off the beaten path, but within comfortable driving distance (an hour, or so) of some of the more popular Northern New Mexico spots, in case we wanted dinner in Chimayo or to wander the plaza in Santa Fe. This little cabin fit the bill perfectly. We drove the beautiful forest roads north of Gallina, headed up to the Ghost Ranch area and explored the Echo Amphitheater, attended feast day dances at the Pueblo Ohkay Owinge (highlight of the trip by far), ate a pretty good pizza from Mamacita's, devoured delicious green chile burgers at Papa Joe's in Gallina, had wonderful meals at La Cocina in Espanola, Rancho de Chimayo, and the Plaza Cafe in Santa Fe. We also visited Napoleon Garcia, the Storyteller, on the Abiquiu plaza, and spent our early mornings and sunsets sitting on the porch of the cabin, overlooking the quiet little village and beautiful scenery. A wonderful visit. Thank you Gracie and Felix!"
