  • A Thanksgiving holiday to remember!

"We have had some memorable VRBO experiences in other cities and this one was exceptional. We met our two sons who live in California in Santa Fe for the holiday. The house was everything that was advertised. It was spacious with two comfortable bedrooms, 2 baths, a large kitchen, family room and dining room. The seasoned firewood helped make roaring fires every night. The house was easy walking distance to all of Santa Fe shopping, dining & museums. Canyon Road, with all of its amazing galleries, was practically outside our door. Laura provided us with so much valuable information about shopping, dining, hiking (hiking Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks, Bandelier National Monument & the Atalaya Mountain Trail are not to missed) and a day trip to Taos on the High Road....and even helped us when we had trouble using the coffee maker. The saddest thing of our trip was learning that Laura did not have VRBO's in other cities because she definitely provided us with an amazing lodging experience and a Thanksgiving to remember!"

  • Fabulous house

"Casa Betita is a wonderful, conveniently located home -- carefully thought-out with meticulous attention to detail. We were there with my teenage son and his friend -- both avid snowboarders. The mountain is about a twenty or thirty-minute drive away, and downtown Taos is only a five minute drive. Cid's Market -- the local equivalent of Whole Foods is close by, as is Love Apple, which was our favorite restaurant in town. The house itself is perfectly outfitted -- the kitchen is fully equipped for preparing meals. The art and decoration are tasteful and welcoming without being fussy. While it's only two bedrooms, they're very private and the house feels spacious. The bath in the master suite has a large soaking tub and opens to a patio and private yard with a garden. The beds are comfortable with plenty of extra bedding -- blankets, pillows, etc. There's a washer and dryer, a dishwasher -- everything you need for a wonderful vacation. In short, the house is ideal and the owner is very accomodating and prompt and thorough in her replies to emails. We're looking forward to returning to Taos and Casa Betita."

  • Casita Manual

"we stayed in Casita manual right across from this one. It was perfect! Huge pull out couch along with a queen bed. They provide almost everything in the kitchen, along with clean towels and sheets! Luvie was wonderful to work with, she was very helpful. I will stay here again!"

  • Loved the character

"Our group had 4 adults and 2 kids and the split floorplan worked great for our group. We put the kids in a room off the lower living room so when they went to bed each night the adults would move to the upper living room and not have to worry about being noisy. The house is really cozy, comfortable and welcoming and the photos don't do it justice. It was bigger than I expected, too. The front deck is large and gets afternoon sun so we spent some nice afternoons hanging out there enjoying the view before the temperature drop at sunset drove us back inside. We went to Ski Apache to play in the snow one day and to White Sands another day which was a bit of a drive but easily doable as a day trip. The town of Ruidoso had some cute shops and a great pizza place called Cafe Rio. The house is fairly close to town and we saw a ton of deer on our drives in. Also saw a lot of woodpeckers and other birds around the house. The area is really quiet and while many of the neighbors had dogs, I only heard barking once (and it didn't last long). The owner was great and checked in with us throughout our visit to see if we needed anything. If we visit Ruidoso again, I would definitely stay here again."
