  • Fall in Santa Fe

"Lovely place to retreat to after enjoying the area. We had 5 people in our party and the spacious living room and patio was perfect for relaxing. Well stocked and attractively decorated!"

  • It does't get any better

"We spent a month here, wish it could have been more.Myself ,my wife and our Yorkie. Two daughters spent a long weekend with us.Plenty of room and easy access to both Albuquerque and Santa Fe.If you understand this is 20-25 minutes from Albuquerque downtown,it makes it that much better, closer to Santa Fe.View from front porch ,breath taking.A breakfast burrito and cup of coffee and you will think you are in heaven.Back yard is Hugh and the view of the sunset is fantastic. The house is everything that is described plus some. The owner was easy to work with.Bottom line, your going to hate to leave.looking forward to doing this again next year."

  • Abundant wildlife

"We really enjoyed our stay here. We saw wild turkeys right outside the house. We enjoyed hiking and seeing all of the wildlife tracks. And then to make it even more spectacular we are driving away from the house and we saw a herd of wild horses! The home is very clean and the beds are very comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you for sharing your home."

  • Quiet Solitude

"I come to the Taos area twice a year for extended stays due to training for my profession. This 1 BR guest house is the best location I have found for any long term stay. It is in a quiet neighborhood and has a fully stocked kitchen (you will want for nothing) to do your cooking and a washer/dryer to do laundry. Burt is an exceptional host and goes out of his way to make you feel at home and meet your needs. When an unexpected snow storm hit, he actually took his truck out and checked the road conditions for me as I only had a two wheel drive. You are close enough to drive into the thick of town in a few minutes, but can come home to your private, quiet nest. The unit is impeccably clean and large compared to most 1 BR casitas here. The bedroom and bathroom have beautiful carved doors for privacy if two or more are staying. You will love the kiva fireplace in winter and Burt supplies plenty of wood and personal lighting instruction. The unit also has baseboard heating so you don't have to rough it. The only down side is the spotty wi-fi reception on mobile devices such as Iphone and Ipad. Bring your laptop if you plan to work as that connection is better. The satellite TV keeps you in touch with the world if you desire. The bed is extra firm so I bring my own topper, but that is just personal preference. I'm already planning to stay here again in six months when I return for more training."
