"We are locals and had too much family come to stay, so we rented this home to all stay together for a ceremony for my husband. It was the perfect getaway but so close to be able to get to things if desired. All the rooms were luxurious. All our guest commented on the comfort of the beds. The kitchen is well stocked with spices and plenty of glassware and dishes. There is good areas to take walks. The back patio area is very large. We had 5 large deer greet us one morning. We are trying to think of reasons to rent this house again. The owner was quick to respond and was flexible with check-in and out times. A pleasure to work with. Highly recommend this house for your vacation needs."

"For us the casita is just what we need. With the exception of not having laundry facilities it has everything else. A good bed, first class appliances, instant hot water, a place to exercise our dog in the back (pecan orchard), and a great shower. For two years now we have enjoyed our stay there during the winter months."

"We spent 4 1/2 months living in this lovely casita during the fall/winter of 2014-15. The location was ideal for us. Access to the Dale Ball trail system is at the back gate of the compound, and we hiked the Dorothy Stewart trail almost daily. Canyon Road is a short walk from the front gate, and the Plaza was only half an hour's walk away. We rarely used our car!
The casita is in a compound that consists of the owner's house at the top of the driveway, a duplex vacation rental half-way down, and then this casita, tucked away at the bottom of the driveway. It is very quiet. No road noise at all. All you hear in the morning are the birds. And it has a very private feeling. On warm mornings we sat outside and drank our coffee on the portal in front of the house and felt as though we had the place to ourselves. It was delightful.
Inside, the casita is comfortable and very completely furnished with everything you need for your stay. There are special touches - fossils embedded here and there in the plaster walls, decorative tile in the bathroom, nichos, the fireplace. The decor is in the traditional northern New Mexican style, with all its warmth and charm. The open floor plan makes the casuist feel spacious, and the in-floor heating kept us warm even on the coldest nights. The mattress was very comfortable, the water pressure good for showers, and there was plenty of hot water for soaks in the tub.
We love to cook and used the well laid out and well-equipped kitchen to prepare delightful meals. The big fridge and large pantry cupboard allowed us to store plenty of food supplies. The huge beautiful solid wood dining table accommodated gatherings with our Santa Fe family and friends. The casita has lots of storage space - the walk-in closet in the bedroom is like its own little room! - and so the living spaces stay uncluttered with your personal belongings.
The owner truly wants to make your stay pleasant and comfortable, and is very responsive to guests' requests. Her two friendly dogs don't intrude on guests at all, and are very sweet to greet when you walk into the compound.
This casita offered the best of Santa Fe for us - a pleasant and comfortable interior environment set in a location that offered access to hiking, cultural activities and venues, and coffee shops, bookstores, and restaurants. We couldn't recommend it more highly for your Santa Fe stay."

"This charming storybook cabin offers a magical retreat that aptly confirms New Mexico as the true "Land of Enchantment." After daily excursions to places such as Bandelier, nearby pueblos, or the museums, shops, restaurants, and art galleries of Taos and Santa Fe, we always looked forward to the comfort and quiet of this beautiful cabin. Constructed of found and repurposed materials, decorated with Navajo rugs, art work, and comfortable furniture, it reflects the creativity, imagination, and good taste of the owners. We look forward to another visit and would highly recommended it as a vacation destination."
