  • Fantastic!

"Views were fantastic, home was beautiful with spacious bedrooms. Perfect getaway for those that want to divide their time between being together, but having the opportunity for quiet time away from the rest of the group. Many nooks for reading, writing or surfing the net. Small kitchen, as noted by many other reviewers, was not a problem for us, but does not allow for complicated meal preparation - and who wants to do that on vacation anyway? The owners are the best! I have rented a lot on VRBO and this was the best experience I have ever had. Hope to go back someday soon!"

  • Absolutely Perfect!

"We were hosting a family reunion while in town for our son's wedding and wanted a home that would be comfortable and roomy. Where we could gather as a group or wander off for some alone time. Casa Martita fit the bill perfectly. The sleeping accommodations handled the 12 of us quite comfortably (my daughter, her husband and new baby got the casita). The large modern kitchen and beautiful covered portal easily handled the 30 people we had for rehearsal dinner. Even the location gets 5 stars. The neighborhood was quiet with a secluded feel, yet we were only a few minutes from being able to get on I-25, Old Pecos Trail or St. Michaels Dr. We are so glad we found this house."

  • Santa Fe Style

"We selected this home for our week long stay in Santa Fe because we wanted to get the feel of living in Santa Fe, not a hotel. This home met the goal! It is an old restored adobe in an older historic neighborhood. Just walking the streets of the neighborhood gives you the real feel of Santa Fe. The home is lovely with artful decor and all the modern conveniences. It even had a sleep number bed, which we enjoyed since we use one at our own home. We especially liked the sky lights which provided a lovely soft light throughout the house even with the lights turned off. The kitchen is newly updated and a real pleasure to work in. I would recommend adding a couple more pots of different sizes, another cassrole dish, and a few spatulas of different types for those of us who like to cook. Hey, how about measuring spoons and cups, too? Maybe these items where there and I just didn't find them. The owners, Mary and Jack, were easily available by phone when we had questions, and were quick to resolve any concern. The Plaza and the Railyard are within walking distance, but they are also an easy drive if you get tired of walking. We did not have a problem with finding parking places (well, maybe just a litlle) at this time of year. Don't miss the Farmers' Market at the Railyard on Saturday morning! Also, check out the shops on the side steets around the Plaza -- much more interesting than the shops on the Plaza which are more tourist oriented. We discovered Seret & Son, an international importer of goods from the East -- a vast warehouse of incredible stuff from rugs to porcelain, and more! It's like walking through a bazaar in another country. Don't miss it. We will stay at this lovely home if we are ever fortunate to travel to Santa Fe again. Thank you, Mary and Jack."

  • Lovely private, quiet, well appointed casita

"Four of us stayed at the casita in late August and had a wonderful time. It is perfect for 2 couples as both bedroom suites are extremely comfortable and nicely furnished. The space inside has nice leather chairs for relaxing. The view is calming and beautiful. Our only suggestions to the owners: 1) Install some drawers in the kitchen to make it more functional, 2) Add some lounge chairs outside so there is comfortable sitting available while gazing at the sunset. Would definitely recommend this property."
