  • Dog Friendly Winter Heaven

"We chose this house for our first ever ski vacation due to the positive reviews, being dog friendly, and convenient location. Once we arrived, we really realized how convenient the location is and how charming and clean the house is! During our 5-day stay, we spent 3 days to Ski Apache (~ 40mins drive, as the mountain road only allows for 25mph) and the other 2 days explored the town and neighboring trails. We had 2 snowy days, and the experience of watching snow while having breakfast with family was surreal! Deers visited us almost every morning. Solid fence in the backyard to make sure our dog did not become an escapist. Fast Wi-fi, cable TV, many boardgames and movie DVDs. The open-floor plan allowed the whole family to enjoy the living room & kitchen & dinning table at the same time. Real fireplace was a surprise to us! We bought firewood from Thriftway and enjoyed the fireplace almost every night. Just a tip for people from more humid area (like us from Houston): it can get pretty dry especially when you have warm ac running. I will bring a humidifier next time we visit. And, yes, we will want to come back and recommend to friends!"

  • Fabulous house

"Casa Betita is a wonderful, conveniently located home -- carefully thought-out with meticulous attention to detail. We were there with my teenage son and his friend -- both avid snowboarders. The mountain is about a twenty or thirty-minute drive away, and downtown Taos is only a five minute drive. Cid's Market -- the local equivalent of Whole Foods is close by, as is Love Apple, which was our favorite restaurant in town. The house itself is perfectly outfitted -- the kitchen is fully equipped for preparing meals. The art and decoration are tasteful and welcoming without being fussy. While it's only two bedrooms, they're very private and the house feels spacious. The bath in the master suite has a large soaking tub and opens to a patio and private yard with a garden. The beds are comfortable with plenty of extra bedding -- blankets, pillows, etc. There's a washer and dryer, a dishwasher -- everything you need for a wonderful vacation. In short, the house is ideal and the owner is very accomodating and prompt and thorough in her replies to emails. We're looking forward to returning to Taos and Casa Betita."

  • Lovely!

"My husband and I enjoyed our very brief stay at the Casita - very quiet, comfortable bed; loved the bathroom tiles and visits with the dogs. The owners are friendly and there if you need them. The bottle of wine was very welcome! Thank you!"

  • Close to everything

"Very comfortable and the perfect size for a large family or group. Loved seeing the Family of Deer come by each morning. Very well stocked with all the essentials as well as games and videos for kids. The nights were very cold, but loading the wood stove before bed kept us all toasty warm all night. House is only 2 minutes from base at Angel Fire, and about 30 minutes from Taos. Experienced owners made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely rent again."
