  • Rustic Warmth, Gracious Hospitality

"We couldn't have have found a better way to finish a day's drive in central-west New Mexico than by turning north at the Blue mailbox at Mile Marker 65, US 60, and into Wolfgang and Monica Rempen's Double Circle Ranch, tucked into a valley below the Sawtooth Mountains. We stayed in the guest house, a beautifully remodeled, completely appointed stone structure whose history predates New Mexico statehood and hearkens back to a big-ranch culture whose lifestyle was at once simpler and demanding. There are no demands here, though, even though Wolfgang and Monica are committed to preserving the values of the past as they relate to a modern age. We were treated to a tour of the buildings on the ranch and the history of their previous uses, some of them rough-cut stone, and others, cut timbers, axe-hewn and chinked. After dinner and a look around the interior of the main house, we took some time for trading stories, then finished the evening with a fire we built in the guest-house fireplace and treated ourselves to a look at the night skies. Much thanks to Wolfgang and Monica for a refreshing experience. We felt quite at home. Hospitality that runs that deep is a rare attribute these days. Susan Gorman and Martin Miller"

  • Cana

"The stay was pleasant On my arrival I wanted take a bath and found the bathtub had not been cleaned after I removed the plastic mat in the tub. It had hair and soap residue under the mat. I checked the toilets and they needed a cleaning as well. However, everything else was great! I appreciated the bed linens and feather pillows, the pool , and convenience of location. The master bedroom was a bit noisey as the main roadway runs right in front of building. Seems a tad expensive"

  • Great... again

"My second stay here. This time with my 14 year old son. Studio is still in immaculate as-new condition. Located in the middle of Albuquerque's restaurant and nightlife district with the very best restaurants, bars and the University within walking distance. I'll be back."

  • Thanksgiving with Family

"My husband, daughter, son-in-law and 2 grandsons spent a wonderful Thanksgiving week in this lovely home with gorgeous mountain views. This house was terrifically located; walking distance to the plaza and the park. The rooms were comfortably furnished with 2 fireplaces; one in family room and one in living room. The kitchen was well stocked with all the cooking and baking equipment to make Thanksgiving dinner. Destino Santa Fe responded to questions and handled minor concerns immediately. They even found extra chairs so we could have additional local guests sit around the large dining room. This is a great house for family with a great quiet residential location within walking distance to town."
