  • Vacation of a lifetime

"Everything is even better than described. The owner and in town property management team could not be nicer or more helpful. The property is a dream house that has everything a large family might need. We were there for 9 nights. Trip timed perfectly for events in southern New Mexico. Home is close to shopping and restaurants and minutes from interstate and highways to use to take in the wonders of the Land of Enchantment. Then to come back to this luxuries home at night was like the icing on the cake. We were able to easily host of large party for Las Cruces friends and local family. I think we ate at every New Mexican restaurant in town. If anything this home was even better than the description. Highly recommend and would love to go back tomorrow if we could."

"Manager was very good about our needs. Thank you! Couple of constructive ideas: 1. TV room, upstairs queen bedroom and down stairs master have no privacy blinds on the doors. Rooms are open to neighboring properties. We had to cover them with unsightly covers. 2. Commode room in downstairs master bath has no privacy. We purchased a folding screen from Hobby Lobby. 3. Suggest more dinner ware, glasses and utensils. We 5 had to run dishwasher after every meal. Thanks again for the accommodations. Jim"

  • Quiet, country get-away

"This was our first month long visit to Las Cruces and we found this clean and comfortable home quiet, spacious and very relaxing. The master bedroom was the only one we used and the bed was very comfy and cozy warm. The well equipped and supplied kitchen provided everything we could possibly need to make our meals. Laundry facilities were super and I was delighted to find that I could hang our clothes in the coat closet to dry in just a few hours, not even needing the dryer. We used the pellet stove when nights were chilly for cozy movie viewing. TV stations were limited, but we enjoyed those available and could watch others on our ipad. Internet router sometimes needed to be restarted. The host provided a basketful of tourism literature, providing us with more ideas than we had time to use. We hiked in the Picacho mountains right behind the house on many days and also enjoyed Soledad Canyon, Aguirre Springs, and Dinosaur Tracks National Monument, all close by. We also took day trips to White Sands and other delightful destinations in SW New Mexico. We couldn't have been more delighted with the beautiful weather. Mornings required a sweater or light jacket but by each afternoon the temperature climbed to the 60's and 70's which was a delight. This was a very positive winter get-away experience."

  • Winter in New Mexico

"My wife and I spent 3 months of winter here in Las Cruces and found Adobe Casita to be a cosy, quiet and comfortable place to call home. Nancy has decorated the casita with Southwest style and it was like staying in a small, private art gallery. She has supplied all needs for even a long stay as ours. We enjoyed having reliable cable tv, internet and all appliances as well as a gas grill on the spacious back patio. The neighbors were friendly and even had a good dog named Opie who greeted us each day as we set out on our walks about the nearby streets. Lots of space for a 1 bedroom casita and even a large walk in closet next to the bedroom which has a king bed. The casita is well situated for walking to the farmer's market on Main Street and to the local library. A community center within a 5 minute drive had pools and a well equipped gym with many exercise machines available for seniors at $1.00 per day. Nancy had a guide book listing all the sites to see in and around Las Cruces as well as a little library with books and magazines about New Mexico. I should mention that train tracks are within a few blocks and the occasional train passes by but we did not find that to be a problem. We really appreciate all the care that Nancy provided to us and would recommend this casita to family and friends. Although we go to a different place each year to escape a harsh Canadian winter we hope to stay here again."
