"This was our first experience renting a home for a vacation... We have 2 kids that have special needs, allergies and sensitivities. It is a tricky proposition to travel to unknown places! Ted was so patient while disclosing information about his home - everything from where his water comes from to the fabric content of his sheets, cleaning products used, available sources for food that would accommodate our needs... Of course we were thrilled at the beautiful photos but what they don't show is the level of attention given to the home's upkeep. It is clean and so easy to be in! The views are simply spectacular... The spaces are open, free of clutter and so peaceful inside and out it is tough to get motivated to leave! The layout of the home is great - 2 bedrooms for the kids on one side of the home with corresponding bathrooms, the master bedroom on the other. Ted is funny and helpful and was available during our stay via phone if we needed something. Every accommodation for comfort has been accounted for. As you might have noticed from other reviews, there is an elderly dog named Seltzer that lives there. He is super cool - always sweet and good! We were concerned about allergy issues for our kids, but had absolutely none - he stays outside and was a wonderful part of our experience. The drive into town (Sandia Crest, Albuquerque and Santa Fe were easy and scenic. At the end of a long day it was an amazing treat to head back to this peaceful and beautifully maintained getaway. We are grateful for the chance to have stayed here and will look forward to doing it again!!!! Look no further - you have just found paradise in New Mexico!"

  • Beautiful setting in the New Mexican high desert

"My husband, daughter and I stayed at the Stone House for 4 nights in July. The hand built adobe and stone casita is nicely designed, with quality art and furniture lending an authentic New Mexican feel. We enjoyed all of the outside spaces available to relax, read, paint, or enjoy a glass of wine and watch the sunset. The location is very convenient--far enough from the main highway for peace and quiet, but very easy to access the main road to head to Santa Fe, or Abiquiu Lake (which is fantastic). This is a great place for someone traveling with a dog. We did not bring ours this time around but there is a great dog run with shade, a dog house and it is fully enclosed and appears inescapable even for the most clever dog. The kitchen has all of the basics plus some nice extra touches like organic teas, spices, (but we do not cook much when we are on vacation so if you like to do a lot of cooking you might want a larger kitchen set up) the bathroom is spacious, the bed comfortable, and with nice linens, soaps, and towels etc... In addition to being an expert stone and adobe home builder, Pat is a great host and it is obvious that she is very interested in making sure guests are comfortable and have everything that they need for a great stay. Which we did!"

"We have just returned from a lovely week at the beautiful casa Quintana! The mountains were calling and they did not disappoint! The house is superb, warm and inviting with breathtaking views of the mountains by day and an incomparable starscape by night! After long days skiing the hot tub was a perfect fit for aching limbs and the roaring fire warmed us inside and our. Thanks Linc for sharing your home!"

  • A beautiful home in a beautiful place

"The property is close to the center of Taos and is conveniently located, and yet feels very private and secluded. The home is surrounded by a large deck and the yard is nicely landscaped with two large and beautiful willow trees. The home itself is lovely, comfortable, and nicely decorated. It stays very cool in the summer even without air conditioner. The kitchen is modern and fully equipped, and the is internet as well as washer/dryer and a hot tub. It is also very nice that the house is pet-friendly. We especially loved the large window seats in two of the rooms, and the french doors that open to the yard, providing fresh air and a nice breeze. Everything was very clean and well organized when we got there. There was information about local attractions. Overall, this was a great experience. We expect to be back."
