"I live here locally and recommended that my parents stay at the casita while they visited me from out of town. We were all thoroughly impressed by the accommodations, hospitality, and the gorgeous setting. Elizabeth, Andrew, and David went out of their way to make all of us feel comfortable and welcome. This is a very versatile option for lodging, as it offers a high level of comfort and convenience in a remote, wilderness setting. Opportunities for hiking are indeed limitless, as the website promises. Our 2 night stay flew by, I highly recommend that you stay as long as possible to be able to appreciate the setting fully. This will definitely be the only option I will consider from now on when receiving visitors from out of town."

"this is a composite review, so was downgraded a bit from my personal perspective. the owner was extremely accommodating, early check in, free access to all the facilities, very personable, etc. beds were very comfortable. place was the perfect mix of being secluded (very quiet and peaceful, at the end of a private road, so no traffic at all, and lots of room for parking and walking around outside) while being very close to all the shopping and amenities that taos has to offer. it was a good base camp location for fishing eagle nest lake, driving the high road, and urban activities. some in our party found the bathrooms a little hard to get to and a little congested in the morning with just two bathrooms. i would have given it 4.5 stars if that would have been possible."

"My family and I took a spring break ski trip to TSV in March 2015. Typically we stay at a hotel in town but this year we decided to look for a house in which to stay. It was an excellent change from our normal plan. Beth and Joel were extremely professional with the rental agreement. A week before our stay Beth and Joel emailed us detailed instructions for everything from how to work the cable tv to how to work the hot tub. The house had all of the kitchen supplies we needed during our stay as well as plenty of bedding and towels. The house was extremely close to the mountain, literally only 10-15 minutes away. After a day of skiing, the hot tub was a wonderful way to wind down and relax. I highly recommend this house especially for families wanting to stay close to the ski valley."

"First let me say to the owners, Thank you for sharing your beautiful home! We have rented many homes in the past, but, this one was perfect. We spent a long weekend here with our 4 children and 4 grandchildren. Each family had their own rooms and bathrooms, which was so nice. The kitchen is large, spacious and was well equipped with all of our needs. Although the kids enjoyed the hot tub and playing pool downstairs, most of our time was spent on the upper, outdoor deck playing board games and visiting. Having access to the garage was nice as there was a storm that moved through bringing hail with it. We were able to move the vehicles inside with no worries! There was really no need for us to go into town, however the home's location is just close enough to town to be convenient for shopping, dining, and so much more. Precious memories were made that will last a lifetime. We look forward to our next trip to Ruidoso!! :)"
