"I agree with every word of praise that has already been written in other VRBO reviews about this enchanting and peaceful home in Santa Fe. The house accommodated two grandparents, myself and my husband and our three children with room to spare! It was the perfect location for exploring Santa Fe proper and easy to get to places such as Los Alamos, Abiquiu, Taos, Chimayo, Bandelier and Albuquerque. We cooked several dinners in the spacious and well-appointed kitchen and enjoyed reading, playing cards and relaxing in the beautifully decorated rooms or watching the sun set over the mountains from the patio in the evenings. Jesse, the house manager, is extremely helpful and responsive. My husband had to stay in a few days and work from the house and found the internet service to be very efficient. We stayed at Casa del Oso for nearly two weeks and the experience exceeded our expectations in every way. You will not regret your stay here!"

"We stayed twice in December during ski trips to Taos. Once in the larger house and then in the smaller casita. Both places were well equipped, inviting and sufficiently warm for the cold December nights. They felt like home! The location is superb as we walked to Christmas festivities in the plaza and to nearby restaurants. David was great to deal with but the real treat was getting to know Yavanne. She took excellent care of us, made sure that we had everything we needed, and even offered to cook for my 4 college aged boys (sons and nephews) that came with insatiable appetites. What a godsend to find food waiting for us when we returned from the ski hill. I recommend asking her to cook for your family/group!! She is a superb cook - better than the restaurants nearby - best guacamole that we have had and nice traditional roasted green chili stew (spicy which our NM kids have been missing in college!). We are already planning additional ski trips to Taos and will be talking to Yavanne about cooking more dishes for us. See you soon Yavanne and next time we are bringing some good wine to go with your food! Thanks."

Perfect location for our Labor Day Weekend getaway!
"We found this cottage while planning our bucket-list trip to the Hatch Chile Festival. We enjoyed all the comforts of a home away from home from the beautifully decorated interior, comfortable bed, well-equipped kitchen (incl. complimentary fruit basket), and relaxing outdoor patio(s) with amazing views of the mountains. The drive to Hatch was about 45 mins away and the chile festival was a fun experience--and I snagged a red chile wreath which is now gracing my front door in Texas. We also explored Old Mesilla Village (25 min trip) and had a great lunch at La Posta; caught the sunset at White Sands (35 min trip); hiked the birding trail La Cueva in the Dripping Springs Natural Area (20 min trip); and caught another sunset in Aguirre Springs (15 min trip). We spent our mornings on the patio watching and photographing the 5 hummingbirds enjoying the feeder, fueling up before their trip south. We also caught a glimpse of the male and female peacocks next door, playing extremely shy. All in all, this was such an enjoyable trip and we look forward to returning one day, and maybe saving time to relax in the spa next time. Thanks to Nancy and Bud for their friendliness and hospitality."

"We were looking for a fourth of July escape and Casa Carmen was perfect. The house had every amenity we needed. The hosts made us feel welcome from the first-greeting us with a cold supper after our long drive. The grounds are full of relaxing areas and fun art. The house is decorated with New Mexico art and furnishings. Beds are very
It's an ideal locale for visiting the Taos area. The fourth of July fireworks could be viewed from one of two decks. Fabulous views of the mountains and easy access to
