  • Fabulous Home for 5 months!

"Condo was exactly as described and pictured - lovely, quiet, nestled in rolling hills crisscrossed by walking paths, and bike routes. Furnishings, bedding, kitchenware, art were of the highest quality. I felt very much at home, and loved the easy access to the town center - both by car and (40 minutes) on foot. Great fitness center and pretty little pool. Just beautiful. I hope to pop back in for another fun semester at Santa Fe Community College (what a great little school .... especially if you're into art and design!)"

  • Late Spring Trip

"Our family (3) stayed here 4 nights in late May & early June. The property Manager, Anne, could not possibly have been more cordial and helpful. The property sits 400 feet or more back from the main north/south street in Taos, so it was extremely quiet at night. How nice it was to sit on the back porch of this 2nd floor apartment and watch the magpies, hummingbirds, and finches play around in the tree shaded grassy back lawn. Or to watch the joggers and walkers in the municipal park just 100 feet or so from the back of the apartment. The apartment is fully supplied with everything you need to have a wonderful time, including 2 beautifully tiled bathrooms, linens, towels, etc. It is probably a 5 to 7 minute leisurely walk to the plaza, restaurants, and the Farmer's Market. A wonderful breakfast place called Michael's is virtually across the street. Other great eating places are El Gamal, Antonios, Graham's Grill to name a few. The apartment has a very private entrance with no other apartments on the same stairwell. The Southwest decor throughout the rooms speak to you ... and the words are beckoning you to stay here. There are 2 private reserved parking spaces, one covered. If you come to Taos, and are looking for the perfect peaceful spot to stay, you'd be crazy not to give this place a 2nd, 3rd, or even a 4th look. As I try to come up with something negative to say about this accommodation....I come up totally empty. The only negative thing I can come up with is that I wasn't intelligent enough to make it a two week stay."

  • Exemplary High-desert Tranquility

"Raymond and Wesley of Desert Harbor Retreat have constructed a masterpiece consistent to that which is advertised. Peaceful, relaxing, with acute attention to detail, this one of a kind retreat setting trancends expectations to deliver a intimately memorable experience. The atmosphere, reflective of the proprietors, exude wisdom and maturity in a manner rare to my existence. I cannot enough express my appreciation for and recommendation of this retreat. And don't get me started on the food... heavenly!"

  • Perfect for Family of 4

"The house was very quiet and centrally located in Taos. The washer and dryer saved us several times. Very clean and peaceful. Beds were comfortable and home was equipped with all we needed."
