  • GREAT!!!!

"This was our first family get away and I would not have changed a thing. The house was so amazing, the pictures do not give it justice at all. my family of five and my best friend and her family of five all had plenty of room and the kids loved the deer that came to the house every morning. The view of the mountain from the porch was breath taking and we can't wait to go again. Thank you for everything, it was a great trip with many wonderful memories."

"Great place to stay. Everything was as promised. Very clean. Contact person very easy to work with. View from porch was fabulous! Neighborhood is older and simple, but very quiet and well kept! We saw mule deer in the back yard!"

  • Seniors Getaway_

"The four of us once again had a great time in Ruidoso and enjoy staying at your condo. We love the location and anything we need is available. The weather was perfect and we had a great time shopping, at the horse races, gambling at the casino and grilling on the deck with other friends who have a home there. Hope we can make it out there again soon! Thanks for sharing your condo and I appreciate ayour help!"

  • Great 4th of July Get away!!! God Bless America!!!

"The Cabin was and is still beyond our expectations. We loved the quiet woody area. Our 3 boys loved waking up early in the morning to feed the deer and playing outside. We saw 3-15 deer throughout the day, each day of our stay. We enjoyed early morning coffee on the patio and the buzzing of the hummingbirds. We also loved the sound of the rain as it hit the tall pine trees and breathing in the fresh cool scent of pine air. Hiking the fitness trail down the road and other trails in the Lincoln National Park is a must do. Awesome fireworks display at The Inn of The Mountain Gods. We were sad to leave just after 5 short days. We will definatley stay again. It is truly Heaven Sent!!!"

Ruidoso Travel Tips

Travel to Ruidoso Vacation Rentals

Ruidoso is a vibrant community tucked away in the southern mountain parts of New Mexico. It's a great vacation destination as there is a wide range of attractions and things to do. Beautiful mountains, forest trails, a rich cultural heritage, and modern entertainment all combine to make a great vacation.

Ruidoso attracts travelers that enjoy the outdoors and thrive on a busy lifestyle. It's a great destination for a young and active family or a group of friends wanting a fun-filled vacation. There are miles of trails open for hiking or mountain biking, horseback riding and exploring. In wintertime, the ski resorts attract snowboarders, skiers and cross country enthusiasts who can enjoy miles of well groomed trails. On the other hand, you could choose to have a more relaxing vacation and book yourself into a quiet mountain cabin and simply enjoy the spectacular views.

Benefits of Staying in Ruidoso Houses

With the wide range of attractions and activities available in Ruidoso, it's nice to have your own space to come and go as you please when on vacation. Rental homes offer an affordable alternative to resort and hotel accommodation. What you save on the cost per night can be used to extend your stay so you can enjoy a longer vacation. The houses range from cozy cabins to spacious mountain homes large enough to accommodate an extended family or group of friends. Entertainment and living areas are equipped with most modern conveniences and catering for the family is made easy by the fully equipped kitchens. Getting to and from town is just a short drive so getting groceries and other basic essentials is convenient.

Things to Do at Ruidoso Lodging

The nearby Ski Apache Resort has 55 trails and 11 ski lifts. The resort caters to all levels of skiers from novice to advanced and even has special introductory offers from time to time on ski classes. The many ski lifts mean that you seldom have to line up to get up on the slopes and the miles of well groomed ski runs mean that you can enjoy a full day's worth of skiing. The high elevation of the resort ensures good annual snowfalls and snow-making machines ensure that an adequate depth is maintained. The resort also has seven restaurants and numerous cafeterias and snack bars where you have a lunch break without having to leave the resort.

The Mountain Gods Resort and Casino offers Vegas-style gambling as well as great entertainment. Big name concerts are regularly featured and patrons can try their luck at one of the many gaming tables or slot machines. The Ruidoso Race track is a popular meeting place for the locals. Watch the jockeys race across the finish line and cheer on your horse before collecting your winnings if you've placed an accurate bet.

The outdoors is one of Ruidoso's great attractions. In the summertime, the endless mountain trails provide great hiking and mountain biking opportunities. Pack a few sandwiches and head out to the hills. Take along your camera and binoculars as you're quite likely to spot wildlife and birds along the trails. Horseback rides can also be arranged from one of the many nearby ranches. The long warm summer days are perfect for exploring and you might even decide to spend a night or two camping out and enjoying the starry skies.
