  • Fabulous Stay

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: After selecting and reserving this home, I drove by while on a business trip and winced at the steep driveway and the distance from the plaza. I almost cancelled. I am so glad I didn't!! The house itself won't be everyone's cup of tea - it does appear to be primarily real adobe - a beautiful material made from mud and straw - and is a little funky in the detailing - light switches and plugs are wedged into the walls, surface plastering is sometimes broken in predictable places on window ledges and at the base of walls and in the kitchen the raw adobe with straw is visible. Cabinets in the kitchen and bath are not modern but very clean and functional. The showers were good and there was plenty of hot water. We loved the house! It was comfortable and welcoming for our family of 5 with good beds and couches. We walked to the plaza and up to St. John's College, but we are big walkers. The kitchen had everything and more than we needed. The house was spotless, the dishwasher set up to run (with soap in place), the coffee maker had filters in it, the heat and lights were on when we arrived. The fireplace was fabulous and there was plenty of wood. The management company was very easy to work with. They allowed me to shift my reservation and assured me that the driveway was being repaired. It was. It would be a delightful place in the summer and was warm and cozy in the winter. I was glad we stayed here and glad we were on the hill above the city with great views - we ended up not spending as much time around the plaza as expected and that was just fine. The Teahouse restaurant is less than a half mile away and open 9 to 9 - a great neighborhood amenity."

  • A Thanksgiving holiday to remember!

"We have had some memorable VRBO experiences in other cities and this one was exceptional. We met our two sons who live in California in Santa Fe for the holiday. The house was everything that was advertised. It was spacious with two comfortable bedrooms, 2 baths, a large kitchen, family room and dining room. The seasoned firewood helped make roaring fires every night. The house was easy walking distance to all of Santa Fe shopping, dining & museums. Canyon Road, with all of its amazing galleries, was practically outside our door. Laura provided us with so much valuable information about shopping, dining, hiking (hiking Kasha-Katuwe Tent Rocks, Bandelier National Monument & the Atalaya Mountain Trail are not to missed) and a day trip to Taos on the High Road....and even helped us when we had trouble using the coffee maker. The saddest thing of our trip was learning that Laura did not have VRBO's in other cities because she definitely provided us with an amazing lodging experience and a Thanksgiving to remember!"

  • Christmas perfection

"Casa Perla was an excellent location for a Christmas visit, we were on the farolito walk as soon as we stepped out the door, and even though ithere was cold and snow that week, we were close enough to walk to many restaurants, and the fire was so cozy! The fully equipped kitchen let us prepare a Christmas dinner, and the property is decorated beautifully. There is a charming, private courtyard that would be lovely in the summer, we would definitely return here!"

  • Celebrate in Santa Fe

"Our second stay at Casa Santander De Santa Fe was as enjoyable as the first and in many ways even better. The house is AMAZING, the flow from room to room to the internal courtyard and the surrounding yard is easy and "comfortable". Feels like "home". While in Santa Fe, we celebrated with friends and made new friends. Longtime friends from Texas visited for a few days. There was plenty of space for both together and alone time. Breakfast in the kitchen, followed by coffee while sitting in the courtyard and enjoying the chilled morning air, warmed by a fire in the outdoor fireplace, was a great way to start each day. Evenings cooking on the outdoor grill, revisiting the day while enjoying the "big" night sky lights were like the "cherry on top of the ice cream". The location to Museum Hill and to downtown Santa Fe can not be beat. Recommend the Museum Cafe. We met Liz for lunch at the Cafe and had a wonderful conversation about the history of the area and her recommendations of things to do and see. It's less than an hours drive to Old Town in Albuquerque. The time and the experience is worth the drive. Try lunch at the Church Street Cafe. For an adventure, head up to Taos and while there visit the Rio Grande Gorge area and have a beverage or two at the Taos Mesa Brewery. Overall, a great celebration. We will be returning again and again and again...... Thank you Liz"
