  • Fabulous for everyone!

"I can not say enough about how fabulous this place is! This was our second trip to Casa Santander! We had five people staying there and it is super spacious with a ton of different rooms to spread out in. The three bedrooms all have their own bath with showers / tubs. Lots of closet space in each room. The kitchen is wonderfully stocked with state of the art cooking equipment (all clad pots and pans and any kitchen device you would need!). The patio is huge and fun to sit around the chiminea at cocktail hour. This is walking distance to Canyon Road where all of the art galleries are and only a 3 mile walk / drive to the heart of downtown Sante Fe. Super and we will be back for sure!"

  • Absolute Enchantment!

"My wife and I found this house a serene treasure as enchanting as Santa Fe itself. Wonderful mountain and sunset views. An easy walk to the historic central plaza. Owners were super responsive and made every effort to insure a perfectly enjoyable vacation."

  • Charming, comfortable home in perfect location

"We spent 4 1/2 months living in this lovely casita during the fall/winter of 2014-15. The location was ideal for us. Access to the Dale Ball trail system is at the back gate of the compound, and we hiked the Dorothy Stewart trail almost daily. Canyon Road is a short walk from the front gate, and the Plaza was only half an hour's walk away. We rarely used our car! The casita is in a compound that consists of the owner's house at the top of the driveway, a duplex vacation rental half-way down, and then this casita, tucked away at the bottom of the driveway. It is very quiet. No road noise at all. All you hear in the morning are the birds. And it has a very private feeling. On warm mornings we sat outside and drank our coffee on the portal in front of the house and felt as though we had the place to ourselves. It was delightful. Inside, the casita is comfortable and very completely furnished with everything you need for your stay. There are special touches - fossils embedded here and there in the plaster walls, decorative tile in the bathroom, nichos, the fireplace. The decor is in the traditional northern New Mexican style, with all its warmth and charm. The open floor plan makes the casuist feel spacious, and the in-floor heating kept us warm even on the coldest nights. The mattress was very comfortable, the water pressure good for showers, and there was plenty of hot water for soaks in the tub. We love to cook and used the well laid out and well-equipped kitchen to prepare delightful meals. The big fridge and large pantry cupboard allowed us to store plenty of food supplies. The huge beautiful solid wood dining table accommodated gatherings with our Santa Fe family and friends. The casita has lots of storage space - the walk-in closet in the bedroom is like its own little room! - and so the living spaces stay uncluttered with your personal belongings. The owner truly wants to make your stay pleasant and comfortable, and is very responsive to guests' requests. Her two friendly dogs don't intrude on guests at all, and are very sweet to greet when you walk into the compound. This casita offered the best of Santa Fe for us - a pleasant and comfortable interior environment set in a location that offered access to hiking, cultural activities and venues, and coffee shops, bookstores, and restaurants. We couldn't recommend it more highly for your Santa Fe stay."

  • Loved Everything about this Home

"It's one thing to rent a house, it's quite another to rent a home. Christine's Santa Fe home is warm and charming, much more spacious than I anticipated, fully equipped and comfortable. .2 miles walk to the Teahouse on Canyon Road, the location is fantastic. Just a short drive to the center of town....everything is easily accessible. The beds were supremely comfortable, the neighborhood quiet. Chris' advice about what to see and do in the area was invaluable -- with her guidance we ate fabulous food, saw amazing art and spectacular scenery. I LOVED this stay and can't wait to schedule a return. Thank you, Christine, for opening your home to us!"
