"We spent 4 1/2 months living in this lovely casita during the fall/winter of 2014-15. The location was ideal for us. Access to the Dale Ball trail system is at the back gate of the compound, and we hiked the Dorothy Stewart trail almost daily. Canyon Road is a short walk from the front gate, and the Plaza was only half an hour's walk away. We rarely used our car!
The casita is in a compound that consists of the owner's house at the top of the driveway, a duplex vacation rental half-way down, and then this casita, tucked away at the bottom of the driveway. It is very quiet. No road noise at all. All you hear in the morning are the birds. And it has a very private feeling. On warm mornings we sat outside and drank our coffee on the portal in front of the house and felt as though we had the place to ourselves. It was delightful.
Inside, the casita is comfortable and very completely furnished with everything you need for your stay. There are special touches - fossils embedded here and there in the plaster walls, decorative tile in the bathroom, nichos, the fireplace. The decor is in the traditional northern New Mexican style, with all its warmth and charm. The open floor plan makes the casuist feel spacious, and the in-floor heating kept us warm even on the coldest nights. The mattress was very comfortable, the water pressure good for showers, and there was plenty of hot water for soaks in the tub.
We love to cook and used the well laid out and well-equipped kitchen to prepare delightful meals. The big fridge and large pantry cupboard allowed us to store plenty of food supplies. The huge beautiful solid wood dining table accommodated gatherings with our Santa Fe family and friends. The casita has lots of storage space - the walk-in closet in the bedroom is like its own little room! - and so the living spaces stay uncluttered with your personal belongings.
The owner truly wants to make your stay pleasant and comfortable, and is very responsive to guests' requests. Her two friendly dogs don't intrude on guests at all, and are very sweet to greet when you walk into the compound.
This casita offered the best of Santa Fe for us - a pleasant and comfortable interior environment set in a location that offered access to hiking, cultural activities and venues, and coffee shops, bookstores, and restaurants. We couldn't recommend it more highly for your Santa Fe stay."

Ideal Vacation Rental for Reuniting with College Friends
"Three college friends and I so enjoyed our long weekend together in this beautiful Santa Fe home. Everything about the home met or exceeded my expectations based on the description and photos presented. The outside spaces are gorgeous with comfortable seating. We loved watching birds in the rock fountain, admired the lush landscaping as we ate breakfast each morning. The layout of the house worked very well for four adults. We had plenty of drawer/closet space to unpack and really feel at home. Living area with two large loveseats was perfect for late night wine and conversation and we liked having a compact, well-equipped kitchen with lots of natural light. Everything we needed was provided, even a good bottle of wine. Each room was nicely decorated with pretty linens, wonderful art and was immaculately clean. The owner was very accomodating to our needs, was always available and gave some great suggestions on restaurants, etc. I would absolutely recommend this rental in the perfect Santa Fe location and hope to be able to stay in Casa Garcia again soon."

The property manager was very helpful.
The vacation rental was spotless.
I was very happy with the location.
I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
Casa Oasis is a great space with 3 separate patios and wonderfully planted grounds. It is a short walk to the plaza, but in a quiet location. We hope to return often."

Lovely! Ideal location, thoughtful amenities and charming hosts
"The condo was delightful and ideal for our week in Santa Fe. It is perfectly located and has everything you could possibly need. Not only is the kitchen fully-equipped but there are small thoughtful details throughout like bandaids (we needed them after walking for miles), umbrellas (we had some welcome rain), guidebooks, a bottle of wine and notepads (to jot down ideas from those guidebooks). Our friends were staying at the very fancy Inn of Five Graces and we visited them there but we much preferred our place on Garcia Street! We would not hesitate to recommend this property and are looking forward to a return trip."
