  • Outstanding location, Superb furnishings and decoration, Immaculate condition- the best

"Casa Simpatica exceeded all of our high expectations. The charming two bedroom, two bath adobe home has been recently updated with further bathroom updates planned (although the bathrooms were more than adequate). The home was beautifully and tastefully decorated with classic and contemporary New Mexican art, artifacts and furniture. The home was immaculate. All of the appliances and accouterments functioned well. The property also has a separate casita available to allow friends or family to appreciate the history and culture of Santa Fe along with the primary renters. There is off- street parking for two vehicles- an important plus in old Santa Fe. The location of Casa Simpatica could not have been more ideal- a two walk block to the restaurants and galleries of Canyon Road and three short blocks to the historic Plaza. Last but not least, Caroline, the property manager, was welcoming, helpful and knowledgeable. Her binder of local information was invaluable in maximizing our enjoyment of our one week visit. She was always readily available for any advice and assistance needed to make our stay worry- free. For the perfect VRBO property in Old Santa Fe, you simply cannot do better than Casa Simpatica. Enjoy!"

  • Beautiful Artisan Home

"Gorgeous custom home that features the best artisan touches of old Santa Fe. The house is both comfortable and inspiring, with its many skylights, hand carved doors, and beautiful artwork. There's no need to walk over to the nearby Canyon Road galleries, you'll feel like you are living in a gallery of fine art."

"In the past, we have always stayed in a hotel when visiting Santa Fe. This time my wife and I brought along her brother and his wife and we decided to rent a house. Casa Viga Grande was our choice and it was the best decision we ever made. Don't let the narrow streets and the gravel road sway your judgment on what was to come. Our house sat behind another house and as we pulled through, we were greeted with a brick courtyard, where we could park, which lead us to a covered brick porch adorned with two colorful benches. We opened the door and my wife's jaw just dropped. The inside was just stunning. The pictures did not do it justice. No matter what area you went in to, everything was tastefully done from the six burner Wolf range to the dual shower heads in the Master Bathroom. Weather permitting, we could enjoy a quaint patio for our morning coffee. This place had everything. Robert and Noel were very helpful in making sure that all your wishes were met. This is a place I would come back to in a heart beat. Thank you for one of the best vacations we've had in a long time."

  • Highly Recommended!

"We rented this space for the month of September and LOVED it - the photos don't do it justice. The location can't be beat as it's right down Canyon Rd and walkable (or a 2-3 minute drive) to the Plaza, Railyard or just about anyplace you want to go or eat. You must eat across the street at Geronimo (hands down best dining experience in SF) and have a drink or two at El Farol. Art enthusiasts will find the space impeccably done. Being there a month we used the small but serviceable kitchen on a daily basis without issue. If you're a hiker or biker you have access to the Dale Ball Trails about a mile up Cerro Gordo Rd or the Atalaya mountain trails about a mile away at St. Johns college. The owners and gallery staff were all super friendly and accommodating and even welcomed our pet. We would stay here again - our month ended too quickly."
