  • Relaxing and Comfortable

"Our family stayed here in December. The house was very comfortable, with a kitchen that included pretty much every known cooking item. The two bathrooms were recently remodeled, and had several neat and modern features. It was snowing during our stay, so we were not able to enjoy the backyard barbecue and pizza oven, but the house was cozy and warm. The owners have a great taste for decorations, and the house felt very lived in and loved. We found the view very relaxing and enjoyable. The house is set apart from its neighbors on a good size lot so as to provide privacy, but a close drive to town."

  • Great Home Located Close to downtown Santa Fe, wonderful owners

"I spent the month of March 2015 in this wonderful home. It is an easy 5-10 minute walk to downtown Santa Fe. A few years back I spent 4 months in Rita and Tom's smaller casita. I loved the location. So when I decided to come back to Santa Fe, I checked with them first and found the "big" house open for March and snapped it up. And I'm glad I did. Even though it was only me renting, I enjoyed having the extra space in the big house. This home is very comfortable and welcoming. One simple thing (that I also found in the smaller casita) was a coat rack by the main door. What a convenient thing to have. You might not think such a small detail would be so useful, but it was. The big house is well laid out with two bedrooms and two bathrooms plus a dedicated office. The office is something I really enjoyed and used often. The house and the entire property is well maintained. Tom was often out doing work like spreading more gravel in the driveway just to make sure renters didn't have to slog through any mud on the way into the homes. The house was immaculate, well decorated and comfortable. It felt like a home and not a rental. The kitchen was spacious and well laid out. I stayed in the larger bedroom and the bed was very comfortable. Amazingly this home is only 5-10 minutes walking distance from downtown Santa Fe. I walked to the post office, museums, bookstores and restaurants. It was wonderful not having to drive everywhere. I have rented vacation homes in 5 states and in no other rental have I found this walking access to a downtown area. Make sure you check out the notebook the owners have compiled. It contains restaurant information, an urgent care location, places of interest, and it even has detailed easily understood instructions for using the DVD player in the living room. This is a great rental, with incredible owners. I highly recommend the big house. Thanks Rita and Tom for helping to make my stay in Santa Fe a great one."

  • Beautiful property and perfect for our ladies' trip

"My girlfriends and I wanted to take a spa trip to New Mexico to celebrate a dear friend's birthday. Knowing we were driving from ABQ late at night, Jeremy sent us detailed directions the week of our trip. They came in handy since it was quite dark, but we made it to the house with no issues at all. Upon our arrival at the house, we were in awe! The house was spacious, the kitchen was well-equipped for cooking, and the setting was breathtaking. We were so in love with the place, that towards the end of our spa day at Ojo Caliente, we decided to take a (short) trip into town to pick up groceries so we could spend the next day at the house. That day, my friends and I walked around the property, sunbathed on the enormous upstairs deck, took several dips in the hot tub, cooked our meals, watched the sunset, and sat around the outdoor fireplace into the late night. The next day, we drove into Santa Fe to check out the Plaza area and did some shopping. This home is a great place to unwind and watch sunsets, but still close enough to the central part of town. The hosts were very helpful when we needed something, but allowed us our space to enjoy our vacation as if it were our own place. Thanks again to the owners for maintaining such a lovely home! I would highly recommend staying here."

  • Comfortable & convenient! A great choice.

"Had a wonderful visit to Santa Fe and this house was part of the reason. It's convenient to the plaza and main highways, in a quiet neighborhood, and very comfortable. Kitchen is well equipped and we used the breakfast room for the rare times we ate in. (Why cook with all the fabulous restaurants in SF!) Artwork is interesting and we appreciated the new furnishings. Two small things enhanced our visit; the wonderful shower massager in the master bath was perfect for a sore shoulder (from heavy suitcases) and a great book on Georgia O'Keefe that I read each evening snuggled in the very comfortable master bed. We look forward to a return visit."
