  • Santa Fe Style

"We selected this home for our week long stay in Santa Fe because we wanted to get the feel of living in Santa Fe, not a hotel. This home met the goal! It is an old restored adobe in an older historic neighborhood. Just walking the streets of the neighborhood gives you the real feel of Santa Fe. The home is lovely with artful decor and all the modern conveniences. It even had a sleep number bed, which we enjoyed since we use one at our own home. We especially liked the sky lights which provided a lovely soft light throughout the house even with the lights turned off. The kitchen is newly updated and a real pleasure to work in. I would recommend adding a couple more pots of different sizes, another cassrole dish, and a few spatulas of different types for those of us who like to cook. Hey, how about measuring spoons and cups, too? Maybe these items where there and I just didn't find them. The owners, Mary and Jack, were easily available by phone when we had questions, and were quick to resolve any concern. The Plaza and the Railyard are within walking distance, but they are also an easy drive if you get tired of walking. We did not have a problem with finding parking places (well, maybe just a litlle) at this time of year. Don't miss the Farmers' Market at the Railyard on Saturday morning! Also, check out the shops on the side steets around the Plaza -- much more interesting than the shops on the Plaza which are more tourist oriented. We discovered Seret & Son, an international importer of goods from the East -- a vast warehouse of incredible stuff from rugs to porcelain, and more! It's like walking through a bazaar in another country. Don't miss it. We will stay at this lovely home if we are ever fortunate to travel to Santa Fe again. Thank you, Mary and Jack."

  • Wonderful House

"This was our second visit to Casa Encantada, and we enjoyed it just as much as the first time. The house's design is unique and very comfortable. The large patio has great views and is a wonderful place for lunch, drinks and dinner-probably a bit cool for breakfast. There's a small elevator from the garage up to the main floor which is a big help for luggage and groceries. The house is very well equipped and maintained. Very convenient to the Plaza, but you do need a car."

  • Perfect get-away

"My husband and I chose the casita in Santa Fe to spend a week celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary. The casita was everything we expected and more! The location was perfect - close enough that we could get to town in minutes, plus convenient to all of the surrounding attractions that were on our to-do list, but far out enough that we felt completely removed from any hustle-bustle of the city. The furnishings are very nice, but also quite comfortable. The kitchen is suitably stocked with utensils and supplies for a vacation (I love to cook, so I brought my own spices, knives, and a few extra things I knew I'd need - and a quick trip to Whole Foods set us up for the week). The grill outside worked perfectly. The hot tub was just right for two and the view from the living/dining area is beautiful. The bathroom is very nice and quite spacious, TV had plenty of channels and the washer/dryer was an added convenience. We found a few minor things that needed a little TLC but the owner was very responsive and they in no way impacted our stay. Overall, we absolutely loved everything and will definitely try to stay here again on our next visit."
