  • A Little Barcelona (Gaudi) in Sante Fe

"We rented the Sante Fe Hobbit House for a week (March 28-April 4, 2014) through VRBO. The occasion was a birthday celebration and included four friends from around the country meeting in this beautiful city. The property was a perfect fit for our group. Our overall rating of the Hobbit House is "Excellent+++++". If you have looked at other comments and photos about the house, you many not believe it can be so beautiful. The property is spectacular and a joy in which to spend time. The house was immaculately clean upon our arrival. There are stacks of clean towels and all the lotions and shampoo/conditioners you can want in the superbly furnished bathrooms. The room arrangement is very comfortable. We spent most of our time in the kitchen working on crossword puzzles and playing games. It is a pleasure to sit at the kitchen/dining room table and enjoy the craftsmanship. The house includes a extremely well-equipped kitchen with all of the tools you need to enjoy home cooked meals. Not only is the kitchen furnished with cooking utensils and coffee makers, but well furnished with cooking oils and spices, etc. It was so nice to arrive late on our first night and see a pound of fresh ground coffee waiting for us so we didn't have to run to the store right away. The back deck is beautiful. The water feature in the backyard made it so inviting. The Hobbit House is in a perfect location. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, but you are only blocks away from groceries (Trader Joe's and Whole Foods) and coffee shops and bakeries. The walk to the plaza is less than 30 minutes along a quiet residential street. A list of recommended restaurants and bakeries nearby is thoughtfully prepared and left for you. If you are just looking for somewhere to "crash", don't rent the Hobbit House. This house is made for relaxation, enjoyment and enrichment in a beautiful environment. We would happily come back and glowingly recommend this property to our friends. Kay, Margaret, Nelda and Janet--March, 2014"

  • Fabulous stay in Santa Fe!

"Just came back after a wonderful 10 day vacation in Santa Fe. The condo was wonderful. Clean and so comfortable with goodies waiting for us upon our arrival. Janice is so great. Friendly, helpful and extremely easygoing. Highly recommended! p.s. She also gave my husband an awesome massage."

  • Perfect Home Away From Home

"My husband and I recently visited Santa Fe for a week and were charmed by this casita from the moment we opened the door. We've rented a number of vacation properties in the past and this is definitely the best yet. Wonderful neighborhood, quiet and peaceful patio and yard, extremely comfortable king size bed, short walk to center of town plus easy freeway access. The gracious owners had coffee, juice, yogurts, chips, salsa and more, all awaiting our arrival. We highly recommend and would love to return."

  • Warm, cozy confo

"We had a lovely holiday at Casita Marota! We were worried since we arrived on what had to be the coldest night of the year, but the place warmed up quickly. It's a small apartment, but worked perfect for 2 adults and 1 child. Everything we could need was there, and the owners were very quick to respond when we did have a concern (which turned out to be minor and easily fixed it ourselves). The bed took a little getting used to, it's sort of like sleeping on a sandpile at first. There is a futon/couch in the living room, but the bed was big enough that our 3-year old ended up in there too. It is very conveniently located, and the Plaza, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's and many restaurants could be walked to if it's warm enough."
