"For several decades, our hobby is staying in unique cabins across the U.S., Canada/B.C. We drive far distances carefully picking ones that are a 'Destination,' not just a place to sleep, to be satisfied to never leave. This cabin, wish listed yrs, wked like a charm & we even teared up a bit, reminded of times at rain forest cabin on Vancouver Island near Victoria we frequented. This one too is a true work of art having the same Pacific NW feel, clean lines with beautiful wood & rock work inside & out, modern, oriental decor, soaking tub, wood stove, wind chimes, landscaping, waterfall, creek side hot tub sounds and tremendous trees and wildlife. (The juxtaposition of being in silent, arid desert areas for a couple wks and then ascending so quickly to this lush planet was sensory overload-in a good way.) My husband is handicapped and one level wked great--esp. with the huge, comfy beauty of a master bedroom with huge walls of screened windows overlooking the creek. We spent evenings listening to audible bks while watching & listening to ever changing landscapes of our Personal light dappled Aspens in the alpenglow setting of flaming trees/canyons. Wind and rushing water sound is our idea of luxury Glamping! AM/PM there were stove fires & canyon hikes w/dogs, Steller Jays squirrels for our entertainment on long deck we made into a dog run by deconstructing their kennel to bungie cord exits: The 1st time on the trip we were able to contain 2 Anatolian Shepherds made for most relaxing week of our month long vacation! Both of us had multiple devices and no wifi issues. Did not need TV as we were In The Painting off our deck, hot tubing & picnicking on yummy takeout from Tesuque Village Market Deli. (One reason we put off coming here were the comments on the road since my husband gets panic attacks (go to the hospital kind) re: scary/steep roads. First there is a short paved 2 lane hwy and then soon, as you get up into the National Forest, a wide, gradual, smooth, 2 lane dirt road well banked on the sides with a far view over the valley; then @couple blocks from cabin the "bumps," actually potholes, in dirt road start but it's @3 lanes wide without traffic so we easily picked our way through. We have very low clearance car and never hit bottom. It's a quick jaunt up/down except for this tiny section. This road did not bother my husband.) Brian puts his heart & soul into his paradise to ensure perfection for his guests; you will want for nothing-except to return!"
