"This casita is tucked away about a half mile from the Canyon Road art gallery row, not far off the Plaza, in an ancient part of the city. The casita itself is cosy, surrounded by a spectacular garden, and had an amazing amount of light for a Pueblo-style house. My husband and I were constantly trying to "turn off" the light streaming into the bathroom from the skylight. ;-) The rooms were nicely furnished and decorated with handmade quilts, which I really enjoyed. The owners were nearby and Ken came immediately to follow up when we had a small mishap, even though it was 10:30 at night! We were very grateful for his diligence and follow-through. Do not hesitate to book the Acequia Madre Casita. It's the perfect place for art lovers!"

"The property was even better than expected. Very clean and comfortable with lots of artifacts and a very pleasant atmosphere. We were welcomed br Cathy, who was absolutely wonderful. She drove us around Santa Fe and gave us lots of useful information. We enjoyed the fair, very well organized. Would love to go back. . We had no car, but we moved around easily with free public transportation."

"This property is as good as it gets. The house itself is beautiful and incredibly well appointed with anything you would possibly need for cooking, bathing, etc. But as good as that is, the yard is even more spectacular for sitting out at night and sipping wine and looking at the stars. We went to Santa Fe to enjoy the local sites etc. but we ended up eating dinner two out of four nights at the house so we could enjoy spending the evenings in the garden. If you are looking for a place to stay for 2-4 people, it doesn't get any better than this. Easy walking distance to Canyon Road art galleries and a really easy walk to a great coffee place right down the block. We will definitely stay here again if we plan another trip to Santa Fe."

Definitely a convenient & secure FANTASTIC QUAINT place!!
"We stayed 3 nights and it was GREAT! Casita Sombria is in a secure neighborhood close to the plaza, restaurants, etc. Many sight seeing routes to travel and come back to tranquility at the casita! Wendy was very pleasant and accommodating. Wendy has an excellent check in & check out process. We found the casista to be well appointed with just about everything we needed. Would highly recommend. We would most definitely stay again if our travels brought us back to Santa Fe!"
