  • Hiking, habitat and host, the perfect trifecta

"Brilliant place. Brian (the owner) made us feel comfortable and the place was even better than expected. My college friend and I brought our pregnant wives to this secluded retreat for R+R. We enjoyed the views, soaking tub, steam shower, wild birds, and nearby hiking. Food was a focus in a dream kitchen while overlooking the babbling brook. We hiked to the waterfall via Rio en Medio trail and made several short trips into Santa Fe for fine dining, and gallery perusing. The place is advertised accurately, the host was gracious and helpful (he turned us onto the local hiking) and we wanted for nothing. There were many wonderful unexpected surprises like a quaint wood stove, steam shower, bird seed (to draw in some gorgeous birds), and a gorgeous but short drive into the center of the city. Due to the secluded and wonderful nature of the cabin you will need a 4x4 which only adds to the appeal."

  • Sunsets in Santa Fe

"An auditor and two architects from Florence, Italy were absolutely enthralled by this home. There was not one detail missing! And the owner is charming and always there to answer questions."

  • Fabulous Stay

"Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: After selecting and reserving this home, I drove by while on a business trip and winced at the steep driveway and the distance from the plaza. I almost cancelled. I am so glad I didn't!! The house itself won't be everyone's cup of tea - it does appear to be primarily real adobe - a beautiful material made from mud and straw - and is a little funky in the detailing - light switches and plugs are wedged into the walls, surface plastering is sometimes broken in predictable places on window ledges and at the base of walls and in the kitchen the raw adobe with straw is visible. Cabinets in the kitchen and bath are not modern but very clean and functional. The showers were good and there was plenty of hot water. We loved the house! It was comfortable and welcoming for our family of 5 with good beds and couches. We walked to the plaza and up to St. John's College, but we are big walkers. The kitchen had everything and more than we needed. The house was spotless, the dishwasher set up to run (with soap in place), the coffee maker had filters in it, the heat and lights were on when we arrived. The fireplace was fabulous and there was plenty of wood. The management company was very easy to work with. They allowed me to shift my reservation and assured me that the driveway was being repaired. It was. It would be a delightful place in the summer and was warm and cozy in the winter. I was glad we stayed here and glad we were on the hill above the city with great views - we ended up not spending as much time around the plaza as expected and that was just fine. The Teahouse restaurant is less than a half mile away and open 9 to 9 - a great neighborhood amenity."

  • Casa Guadalope Stay!

"We arrived late in the evening, and were greeted by one of the managers, and made to feel very welcome. Fresh flowers on the dining room table and coffee for the morning:) Neither the VRBO website nor the info that the owner sent us did this Santa Fe home justice! Great layout and everything at our fingertips! We had many of our meals "at home"! Having said that there are many great restaurants within a minutes walk. Perfect location and I do mean perfect location, added to the appeal of Casa Guadalupe. We 100% recommend this home for a vacation/business get away. The only downside was that we had to leave but we look forward to a return visit to Casa Guadalupe!"
