"I have been to Santa Fe many times over the years but never have stayed outside of town. I wanted my friends who have never been to Santa Fe before to have a nice relaxing long weekend with a view of the beautiful mountains that surround the city ,so I chose this charming house as our girls get away. There were 4 of us and we all loved it. The house is cozy and relaxing. The patio perfect for breakfast and dinner in. The kitchen had everything we needed. We also loved walking around through the hills. We built fires in the fireplace at night because even at the end of May it was chilly while we were there. So I highly recommend it. It made our visit so enjoyable."

"Five Star Plus. Couldn't ask for a lovelier home away from home! Spotlessly clean, and all the start up supplies and you could want. Close to Farmers Market and Rail yard, please visit downtown Plaza and Canyon Rd. We enjoy making our own meals, kitchen and gas stove are great. Markets close by, Whole Foods, Trader Joe's, Smiths, and Sprouts. Hope to stay at this property again and again as family has moved to Santa Fe. Communication with Rebecca and homeaway.com was easy."

"We spent 4 1/2 months living in this lovely casita during the fall/winter of 2014-15. The location was ideal for us. Access to the Dale Ball trail system is at the back gate of the compound, and we hiked the Dorothy Stewart trail almost daily. Canyon Road is a short walk from the front gate, and the Plaza was only half an hour's walk away. We rarely used our car!
The casita is in a compound that consists of the owner's house at the top of the driveway, a duplex vacation rental half-way down, and then this casita, tucked away at the bottom of the driveway. It is very quiet. No road noise at all. All you hear in the morning are the birds. And it has a very private feeling. On warm mornings we sat outside and drank our coffee on the portal in front of the house and felt as though we had the place to ourselves. It was delightful.
Inside, the casita is comfortable and very completely furnished with everything you need for your stay. There are special touches - fossils embedded here and there in the plaster walls, decorative tile in the bathroom, nichos, the fireplace. The decor is in the traditional northern New Mexican style, with all its warmth and charm. The open floor plan makes the casuist feel spacious, and the in-floor heating kept us warm even on the coldest nights. The mattress was very comfortable, the water pressure good for showers, and there was plenty of hot water for soaks in the tub.
We love to cook and used the well laid out and well-equipped kitchen to prepare delightful meals. The big fridge and large pantry cupboard allowed us to store plenty of food supplies. The huge beautiful solid wood dining table accommodated gatherings with our Santa Fe family and friends. The casita has lots of storage space - the walk-in closet in the bedroom is like its own little room! - and so the living spaces stay uncluttered with your personal belongings.
The owner truly wants to make your stay pleasant and comfortable, and is very responsive to guests' requests. Her two friendly dogs don't intrude on guests at all, and are very sweet to greet when you walk into the compound.
This casita offered the best of Santa Fe for us - a pleasant and comfortable interior environment set in a location that offered access to hiking, cultural activities and venues, and coffee shops, bookstores, and restaurants. We couldn't recommend it more highly for your Santa Fe stay."

FIRST TIME IN SANTA FE - FIRST VRBO RENTAL - AWESOME!
"This was our family's first visit to Santa Fe and our first experience with a VRBO. Wow. What a great experience. We felt so comfortable and spoiled in this lovely home. It is so roomy and beautifully decorated. Vases of fresh flowers welcomed us both outdoors and in. The beds were extremely comfortable, and the wood stove easy to use, making the evenings we stayed in, cozy. The one bathroom was not an issue at all as it is very large with a double-sinked vanity and plenty of space. The jetted soaking tub was an extra bonus! It was so nice to have a well stocked kitchen and an outdoor grill for preparing meals. You can eat at the dining room table, in the kitchen alcove, or at the table on the outdoor patio. The outdoor space is amazing and has several seating areas to enjoy. The gardens were just starting to bloom and were so pretty! The neighborhood is so quiet that we felt like were were away from the hustle and bustle of Santa Fe, but within walking distance to the Plaza. We would recommend this rental without hesitation. We can't wait to go back!"
