"The location of this house blew us away. The setting is exceptional in the beautiful foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. The expansive views from the patio and the large picture windows in the living room, dining room and den are truly breathtaking - a pleasure to wake up to each day and enjoy while having morning coffee. We found the house to be very comfortable with its open layout and it was well equipped with everything we needed for our stay. All the appliances are modern and clean and the gas barbeque, washer and dryer are brand new. To say there is so much to see and do in the area is an understatement. Santa Fe is only a 10 minute drive from the house and is full of unique museums, wonderful cafes and restaurants, historic buildings, interesting shops and art galleries. The plaza is always lively with buskers and vendors selling native artwork. Venture a little further and you can explore many amazing pueblo ruins, cliff dwellings, an historical ranch, a ghost town, picturesque villages, a super caldera and wonderful hiking trails. We attended a Feast Day at a local Pueblo and had the privilege to observe sacred dances. The house is centrally located to all the attractions in the area and it was lovely to return to this beautiful and tranquil property at the end of each day."

"I agree with every word of praise that has already been written in other VRBO reviews about this enchanting and peaceful home in Santa Fe. The house accommodated two grandparents, myself and my husband and our three children with room to spare! It was the perfect location for exploring Santa Fe proper and easy to get to places such as Los Alamos, Abiquiu, Taos, Chimayo, Bandelier and Albuquerque. We cooked several dinners in the spacious and well-appointed kitchen and enjoyed reading, playing cards and relaxing in the beautifully decorated rooms or watching the sun set over the mountains from the patio in the evenings. Jesse, the house manager, is extremely helpful and responsive. My husband had to stay in a few days and work from the house and found the internet service to be very efficient. We stayed at Casa del Oso for nearly two weeks and the experience exceeded our expectations in every way. You will not regret your stay here!"

"This casita was cute, comfortable, cozy, inviting, easy to find, and close to downtown. Very warm and clean. It is small so perfect for one or two people and maybe a dog, but much more relaxing than a hotel room surrounded by a bunch of noise. There was a cute courtyard to enjoy in the warm months as well and your parking is well off the street so it's safe and tucked back in there. I walked everywhere and never hesitated about the area or my safety."

The property manager was more than helpful.
The vacation rental was very clean.
I was very happy with the location.
I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
Overall, I recommend this vacation rental.
There were 8 of us and we fit comfortably in the house. We made breakfast every morning and a big dinner one night. The kitchen is mostly stocked and there's are two nice big living spaces. Close to the square and town, but not walkable. Would definitely go back!"
