  • Warm, beautifully decorated, fully equipped, spectacular location

"I'd been on a road trip for 2 1/2 months, staying at various VRBO and Airbnb homes all across the country, and this home was the VERY BEST place I stayed! Chris was so easy to communicate with. The home had everything we needed for our week long stay. Chris had many tips about what sites to visit during our trip. My two dogs were welcomed and there are great walks nearby that are dog friendly. The beds and linens are very comfortable, the home is quiet, and there are beautiful fireplaces for those chilly evenings. This is clearly a well loved home that the hosts regularly use themselves, which makes it a privilege to stay there. Thank you, Chris!"

  • Perfect place to relax

"The casita was the perfect place to relax and enjoy Santa Fe. Walking and hiking trails right outside your door. Neighborhood was quiet and safe away from downtown congestion. Very dog friendly, my pooches had a great time too! Bobbie was extremely accomdating to my needs and made extra efforts to assure I was comfortable and had what I needed. The casita was very well appointed with all the extras you may need, I was surprised to find many basic staples in the kitchen and a wide assortment of spices which made cooking a breeze. I hope I will be able to go back to the casita for another Santa Fe visit soon, it was perfect!"

  • Amazing Santa Fe Home!

"We rented the house for Holy Week - this was "home base" for several family members from around the country. A total of 13 adults and teens stayed at the home. We gathered for a Good Friday pilgrimage from Nambe to Chimayo - we had such an amazing time! The house was absolutely perfect - central, walkable location to Santa Fe attractions (Loretto Chapel, Main Plaza, etc.) - it was incredibly well-stocked (dishes, pots/pans, towels, linens, bath robes, appliances, etc. - every amenity you could need) in fact we cooked almost all of our meals at home. We had a ton of gathering space for visiting with family (two large porches, living room, large dining table) and a lovely hot tub (didn't get a chance to use). I can't say enough nice things about Kristen - the owner/manager. She was SO EASY to work with and she provided a ton of information prior to our trip including tips on restaurants, sight-seeing - even tips on avoiding altitude sickness!! If you want the authentic "Santa Fe" experience of a neat historic home, walkable attractions/shopping, SUPER comfortable beds/bedding, beautifully decorated, SUPER clean with tons of space for all, then this is the place for you - look no further! I will leave you with three tips on the home: (1) parking is at a premium in Santa Fe - the house can fit up to 3 cars (in a row) - we only have one side of the carport (we had 2 Ford Expeditions and 1 Toyota SUV - they fit just fine); (2) the downstairs den is awesome - we set it up with the 6 twin beds - super comfy and great hangout space for teens BUT the staircase is steep and narrow - this is not for frail elderly or unsupervised small children - we didn't have an issue - our elderly family stayed upstairs and we do not have small children; (3) extra family stayed directly across the street at Four Kachinas B&B -also super nice and a great rate - just FYI if you have a large party of over 14 people (i think the Capitol Casa house guest max is 14). I would definitely return to Capitol Casa for our next Santa Fe adventure!"

  • Clean, modern, attractive, excellent location -- a great value overall

"I stayed here for 5 nights in early May with a group of 6 women, and it was ideal for us. Plenty of space in every way -- bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchen, dining -- and so clean and comfortable as to satisfy even the pickiest people in our group. When you look at the price of hotel rooms in downtown Santa Fe, this place is an amazing bargain. We walked downtown for several dinners (Cafe Pasqual's and La Casa Sena were two favorites) and drove to the top of Canyon Road for an evening at El Farol. We also really enjoyed the Tesuque flea market, hiking at Bandelier and Tsankawi Mesa, and exploring the many museums and art galleries downtown. The shopping was world-class! Santa Fe is one of my favorite vacation destinations, and I have stayed out at the Bishop's Lodge resort, downtown at a B&B, and downtown at La Posada in the past. For a group trip, if you want great access to downtown and enjoy a little walking, this house is the best option by far."
