"This is the nicest vacation rental home we’ve stayed at in Santa Fe for several reasons:
1. The house is quiet and peaceful, supplying the best and rarest element of a real vacation. It is located in a residential area outside of Santa Fe, and is surrounded by trees and flowers, adobe walls, and open space. You will enjoy escaping here after busy days around Santa Fe. The loudest sounds you hear will be breezes rustling through aspen leaves, crickets chirping, and songbirds such as finches, doves, and towhees – and okay, a coyote chorus once in a while. No traffic noise will disturb your stay. The house will help to revive your body, mind, and soul.
2. Jesse, the property manager, is well-organized, oversees things smoothly, answers every question quickly by phone, email, or in written notes around the house, and keeps the whole experience pleasant and worry-free with no jarring surprises.
3. The house is sizable with four bedrooms, and beautiful inside and out. The owner and Jesse ornamented it with charming New Mexico accents, carefully selected artwork, hand-crafted furniture, comfortable beds, and a hammock on the patio. A kiva fireplace offers warmth and pinon fragrance on cool nights. The landscape provides fine views of the Jemez Mountains, radiant sunsets, and starry skies.
4. The house offers convenient access to everything: Just 5 minutes to the La Tierra bike trail system, 12 minutes to the Plaza, 15 minutes to local favorites such as the take-out tamales of Posa’s El Merendero, 20 minutes to Museum Hill, the Atalaya trail, or other Dale Ball trails, 30 minutes to El Rancho de las Golondrinas, 40 minutes to El Santuario de Chimayo, 50 minutes to the Puye cliff dwellings, 60 minutes to Bandelier National Monument, 90 minutes to Taos.
We felt blessed to stay here, and hope you enjoy your stay as well."
