  • Adobe Guest House in Santa Fe, New Mexico

"I loved staying in this fully equipped home in the country on quiet acreage with beautiful views of the area. It was a wonderful place to get away from it all, paint, walk, enjoy the outdoors, listen to music and go into Santa Fe and surrounding places. I had a full kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and large living-dining room with a loft bedroom up the ladder. Satellite radio, TV and internet were fairly good but slower than in the city, cell reception with Verizon was on and off intermittently. The only thing I would have changed were the locks on the doors! The front door didn't lock at all, had to use a chair and the back door had to be slammed to close tight and lock. Everything else was perfect. The owner lives in a separate, attached home, was available if needed, but rarely home so I experienced lots of privacy, with all the amenities I needed for 4 days! I'd go back again anytime! Thank you for the use of your home, I enjoyed it very much and would recommend it to anyone."

  • Great Location, Great Views, Very Quiet location

"We traveled to this house in early June from Texas. The owner worked with us allowing us to arrive a day earlier than expected as the trip did not take as long as expected. However, we were greeted with the heat from Santa Fe, a total surprise. Even though the evenings do get much cooler, it was not enough to cool the interior of the adobe house. The owner worked to get a window unit installed downstairs and it made all the difference in the comfort of the house. Thank you David. Our Germanshepard/Husky mix really enjoyed the cooler air inside. Besides that the location was great, only 5 minutes to the square and the hills where the house is located made for great walking daily. The spiral stair case was a little challenging, but in all we got over that pretty quickly."

  • Santa Fe Property Review

"My husband and I stayed at the Historic Downtown Adobe Apartment for the fourth time. We absolutely love it. It's located within easy walking distance of the plaza and a number of the great restaurants, it's clean, it's quiet, it's decorated cute. It has laundry facilities if we need them. Our hostess is always very gracious and accommodating. We hope to come back again soon!"

Santa Fe Travel Tips

Views of the Mountains from Santa Fe Vacation Rentals

You will find once you enter Santa Fe that it is still influenced by the Spanish culture. It is the capitol of New Mexico and situated in a valley between two mountain ranges. Artists have flocked to Santa Fe for years and there are many art galleries that are close to Santa Fe vacation rentals. Your vacation home might be an adobe-style casita just right for a romantic week away or large enough to accommodate a family reunion. Pampering is what you will find in a VRBO vacation rental as the owners of the houses or condos have thought of your comfort and desired amenities. Why stay in a small hotel room when spacious living, dining and bedrooms await you? Fully equipped kitchens offer you the chance to save money by dining in or the opportunity to just enjoy the incredible scenery surrounding your Santa Fe vacation rental.

If you are a music lover, you can indulge your passion by attending the Santa Fe Opera or Jazz Festival. The operas are presented in an open-air theater with the Sangre de Cristo Mountains as the backdrop. During July and August, there are approximately 40 performances of everyone’s favorite operas.

Children will enjoy the Santa Fe Children’s Museum on Old Pecos Trail. The museum features interactive exhibits that include arts, humanities and science. There are local artists, environmental educators and scientists that provide some of the hands-on activities for the children.

Train enthusiasts will love a train ride on the Santa Fe Southern Railway. This train departs from the station at 410 Guadalupe Street. This desert spur of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe railway that ran along the tracks in 1880 offers passengers spectacular sights. Guests of the railroad can take a two-hour excursion or the longer four-hour trip in vintage coaches or luxury cars where they will view the Lamy or Galisteo overlooks. Visitors of Santa Fe condos can take the Friday night High Desert Highball train or the Saturday night Campfire BBQ trains.

Shopping by Santa Fe Condos

While there are many places to shop in Santa Fe, you will want to plan a day trip to the Sena Plaza. The Plaza was the courtyard that once belonged to the Sena Family. Today, it is a secluded garden which is surrounded by shops and restaurants. Shopping in Santa Fe gives you the opportunity to purchase one-of-a-kind items such as art, turquoise jewelry and silver. Native American pottery and crafts are in abundance as well. The Palace of the Governors which is located on the Plaza is provided for the exclusive use of the American Indian artisans. This area can be very crowded but since you have a relaxing “home” to return to, you probably will not mind the many shoppers.

Unique southwestern clothing are some of the abundant items that guests of Santa Fe vacation rentals can find. If you are looking for leather goods or accessories for your home, you will have a great time perusing the shopping areas of Santa Fe. Besides being a fabulous place to shop, the local culture will appeal to everyone that stops by the Plaza area.

See the Santa Fe Area by car When you Stay at Santa Fe Lodging

There are several day trips by automobile that you can take when staying in Santa Fe homes. The Santa Fe Scenic Byway follows SR 475 through Little Tesuque Canyon to Hyde Memorial State Park. It continues all the way to the Santa Fe Ski Area. If you are planning on taking the entire loop, a four-wheel drive vehicle is suggested as some of the roads are not paved. The Turquoise Trail is on SR’s 14 and 356 which are close to the Sandias. You will see great mountain views, some ghost towns, and thick forests of pine and aspen.
