  • Perfect Ski Trip

"My family and I took a spring break ski trip to TSV in March 2015. Typically we stay at a hotel in town but this year we decided to look for a house in which to stay. It was an excellent change from our normal plan. Beth and Joel were extremely professional with the rental agreement. A week before our stay Beth and Joel emailed us detailed instructions for everything from how to work the cable tv to how to work the hot tub. The house had all of the kitchen supplies we needed during our stay as well as plenty of bedding and towels. The house was extremely close to the mountain, literally only 10-15 minutes away. After a day of skiing, the hot tub was a wonderful way to wind down and relax. I highly recommend this house especially for families wanting to stay close to the ski valley."

  • Charming, close to Art and the Plaza

"I enjoyed my stay, very cozy, clean and colorful. I liked having the Historic Church for a landmark. One of the paintings in the bedroom was done by an Artist friend of mine who has a gallery on Bent Street. I liked walking my dog all over the place. I would love to come back. Carol"

  • Under-commit-OVER-deliver

"NOT your typical rental-home. Combo of casual, comfortable, yet elegant S.W furnishings/art indigenous to the style, culture & architecture of the region. Terrific grounds/outside spaces too. Being a private, gated in-town property gives you a very secure, yet open vacation experience. Hot-tub & Sauna are wonderful amenities. This is truly an exceptionally nice home, in a wonderful setting, in a super convenient, walk to everything, Taos location. Yet, it still has a very private, quiet & peaceful feeling. Visiting favorite cafes/bistros/restaurants, galleries, shop/boutiques at/near the Plaza is so quick/easy. Conversely, hiking/white water rafting/skiing/golf and other high plains/mountain outdoor recreational activities are equally convenient. Kit Carson Park is 3-blocks away & is great for dog exercise. Everything needed is provided ... down to plush robes for going to/from hot-tub/sauna when it's chilly. After renting about 90 properties over the last 24 years, we especially appreciated the attention to detail in the maintenance & cleanliness of this home. Pride-of-ownership shows. This is definattely not a rental property that the owners sometimes use. Rather, this is obviously a home for the owners that they also rent. We hate rental-home surprises ... except in this case, Buffalo Gal Cassita far exceeded what was advertised ... a most pleasant surprise. We will most definately return."

  • Soul Restoring

"Lovely casita (the photos do not do it justice!) with great view of the Valley. Extremely comfortable, well stocked (loved the organic coffee provided!) & private. I went with my two dogs to recharge my batteries, and the experience was magical. Jean was welcoming & warm, while respecting my desire for seclusion. Close (by auto) to Taos & Arroyo Seco, it was also a great jumping off spot to explore Dixon, Chimayo, and all the beautiful High Road locations. There is a magic to the site that defies quick description, beginning with a quiet cup of coffee in the morning out on the patio, to watching the weather move in & out in the pm's ( I was there in July which Falls in the 'monsoon' season with short, dramatic rain events accompanied by fantastic skies & wonderful cooling-offs). Even in the heat of the day, the casita was comfortable with natural breezes & plenty of ceiling fans to keep the air circulating. I highly recommend this location to anyone who wants to be restored; I found it to be a bit of heaven."
