  • Fabulous house

"Casa Betita is a wonderful, conveniently located home -- carefully thought-out with meticulous attention to detail. We were there with my teenage son and his friend -- both avid snowboarders. The mountain is about a twenty or thirty-minute drive away, and downtown Taos is only a five minute drive. Cid's Market -- the local equivalent of Whole Foods is close by, as is Love Apple, which was our favorite restaurant in town. The house itself is perfectly outfitted -- the kitchen is fully equipped for preparing meals. The art and decoration are tasteful and welcoming without being fussy. While it's only two bedrooms, they're very private and the house feels spacious. The bath in the master suite has a large soaking tub and opens to a patio and private yard with a garden. The beds are comfortable with plenty of extra bedding -- blankets, pillows, etc. There's a washer and dryer, a dishwasher -- everything you need for a wonderful vacation. In short, the house is ideal and the owner is very accomodating and prompt and thorough in her replies to emails. We're looking forward to returning to Taos and Casa Betita."

  • Comfortable place, great location, nice owners

"My husband and I just got back from a lovely stay at this casita. Eric and Shaun were very welcoming and gave us good ideas for places and restaurants to visit while in Taos. The apartment is well situated just a block from the Plaza, and down the street from the Harwood Museum. We walked to Bent Street and Kit Carson Street -- two good areas for galleries. The apartment itself is nicely appointed and the king bed is very comfortable. I would only caution that there is only a skylight in the bedroom -- no windows (so great for sleeping...). This was not a problem for us, but it might be for some people. I recommend this for a couple -- with one small child would be okay too. BTW, their gallery carries high quality art that will tempt you if you have the $$ to invest. I would definitely recommend this casita for travelers looking for an authentic New Mexican style stay in a fabulous location."

  • Perfect place to stay in Taos

"This charming little home is in an excellent quiet location near the plaza. The Casita has lots of southwestern character and is in great condition. We enjoyed sitting on the private patio in front of the home. The owners were very responsive and easy to work with. We will definitely stay here again the next time we are in Taos."

  • An Oustanding Property!

"A beautiful property with incredible views! This is one of the few houses I have found on vrbo that actually "feels" like a home rather than an empty rental house. We had seven with us and there was more than enough room for everyone in the lovely property. The kitchen is HUGE! And if it weren't for all the incredible food in Taos (and our short visit) I could have easily had enough room in the refrigerator as well as space, dishes, pots, and pans to accommodate cooking. The bathrooms are pristine! Plenty of hot water - even for seven! No mold, mildew, or nasty anywhere in this house. The appliances were all relatively new. The furniture was comfortable. The beds were great. The gardens and outdoor space continued to lend themselves to the homey-feel of the house. I thought I would mind having the owner's additional property on the land as well, but we never once saw them. There are some fragile pieces of decoration as well as art in the home, so I would probably discourage people with rambunctious children, but if they are listeners then you'll be fine. My one and only complaint is the driveway is a bit bumpy, most likely from all the rain lately though and NOT the owner's fault. Overall, it is an INCREDIBLE HOUSE on an GORGEOUS piece of property that is so conveniently located to Taos it is ridiculously easy. I cannot say enough praise about the house. And we will be returning to visit this wonderful spot again soon! Thank you Gail! This is truly the ideal house to rent on vrbo and the standard by which everyone else should be measured."
