  • couldn't have been better

"My family of three arrived at Kiva after a long drive from Amarillo Texas with a lunch break at Santa Fe. We got there after sunset and the porch lights were left on for us. Kiva is just a very adorable, comfortable little home.We felt refreshed after settling in. The house was super clean, organized and well maintained. A little welcome note with candy canes was a nice touch. It had everything we could think of from closet full of clean towels to a completely stocked kitchen. Pots and pans to cook and even spices and cooking oil. The rooms were very nicely decorated and felt very cozy. It has a laundry room which I loved as I'm one of those crazy people who like doing laundry even on my vacation. The bathroom was very clean and very well stocked with great toiletries. My husband and I couldn't figure out how to open the sofa bed so I texted the owners and they responded back immediately and we were able to work that out. Kiva was so well stocked that my husband needed a nail cutter and he joked " I'm sure they have that stocked too" and sure enough I found one in the bathroom. We absolutely loved our stay at the Kiva which was very close to the Plaza in a quiet neighborhood. My seven year old enjoyed the front porch and she requested we stayed there longer. She said the best part of her vacation was "the house" we couldn't have been happier. We will come back to Taos in the summer next time and we will be staying at Kiva."

  • An Oustanding Property!

"A beautiful property with incredible views! This is one of the few houses I have found on vrbo that actually "feels" like a home rather than an empty rental house. We had seven with us and there was more than enough room for everyone in the lovely property. The kitchen is HUGE! And if it weren't for all the incredible food in Taos (and our short visit) I could have easily had enough room in the refrigerator as well as space, dishes, pots, and pans to accommodate cooking. The bathrooms are pristine! Plenty of hot water - even for seven! No mold, mildew, or nasty anywhere in this house. The appliances were all relatively new. The furniture was comfortable. The beds were great. The gardens and outdoor space continued to lend themselves to the homey-feel of the house. I thought I would mind having the owner's additional property on the land as well, but we never once saw them. There are some fragile pieces of decoration as well as art in the home, so I would probably discourage people with rambunctious children, but if they are listeners then you'll be fine. My one and only complaint is the driveway is a bit bumpy, most likely from all the rain lately though and NOT the owner's fault. Overall, it is an INCREDIBLE HOUSE on an GORGEOUS piece of property that is so conveniently located to Taos it is ridiculously easy. I cannot say enough praise about the house. And we will be returning to visit this wonderful spot again soon! Thank you Gail! This is truly the ideal house to rent on vrbo and the standard by which everyone else should be measured."

  • Great Place to Spread Out!

"This was our second spring break in Taos and at Introvert Heaven. We have 4 kids and 2 dogs so it was great to spread out after a long day of skiing. The house is perfectly situated between the ski valley and Taos. We had family rent out the west wing which made the stay even more special. At night, the kids hung on the west side while the adults had happy hour on the other. We had everything we needed at the house so we were able to eat in on nights that we were too tired to go out. Our dogs loved the fields and the porch. The hot tub was really relaxing and the stars were amazing. I hope to make Taos and Introvert Heaven a yearly vacation."
