"We stayed at the cabin for a ski trip (for us) and winter getaway (for my parents). The cabin was exactly what was described online, no surprises. It was very clean and cozy and had everything we needed and then some. The location is very convenient to Taos Ski Valley, less than three minutes driving. It was very nice being able to bring the dog and he had a good time exploring the woods behind the property. The only confusing thing was the trash - we were instructed not to leave trash out due to risk of bears, but also instructed to leave it out every other day so the caretaker could come pick it up. There was a trash can on the porch, but it was not bear-secured and the porch was open so bears could easily climb inside to get to it. We were only there three days, so just left the trash inside when we left, but I'd recommend clarifying these instructions. Overyall, it was the perfect place for our needs and we would definitely stay here again."

"We spent a long weekend at Casa Mañana and were enthralled with the view of valley. Plenty of DVDs and card/board games to keep everyone entertained. Great audio system in the living room and wired into the master suite where you can enjoy the private deck. The wrap around deck on the second floor offers a great place to chat and enjoy the stunning views. Beds (3 Queen and a set of twin bunks) were clean and comfortable with tons of towels for showers and the hot tub. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need including a large crock pot which came in handy. There is a large four burner grill on the deck just outside the kitchen, very convenient for the cook in our group. There is an island in the kitchen for the stove with 6 stools around it and a large 8-seat dining table that was perfect for us to eat and play games. It rained every evening and we were able to enjoy the fireplace for a little warmth and ambience. There is plenty to do outdoors, too. We rode the chairlift, enjoyed a free music concert, hiked around the forest that is just outside the door. Also, there is a little stream about 300 feet away that sounds great in the evening while gazing at the night sky or drinking your morning coffee. We cannot thank Frank and Sue enough for sharing their home with us."
