  • Comfortable place, great location, nice owners

"My husband and I just got back from a lovely stay at this casita. Eric and Shaun were very welcoming and gave us good ideas for places and restaurants to visit while in Taos. The apartment is well situated just a block from the Plaza, and down the street from the Harwood Museum. We walked to Bent Street and Kit Carson Street -- two good areas for galleries. The apartment itself is nicely appointed and the king bed is very comfortable. I would only caution that there is only a skylight in the bedroom -- no windows (so great for sleeping...). This was not a problem for us, but it might be for some people. I recommend this for a couple -- with one small child would be okay too. BTW, their gallery carries high quality art that will tempt you if you have the $$ to invest. I would definitely recommend this casita for travelers looking for an authentic New Mexican style stay in a fabulous location."

  • We had a great stay!

"This was the perfect home for my family of two adults and three young children. It is large and clean, well located between the ski valley and town, and offers access to a large pool and small heated "kiddie" pool, both of which we took advantage of during our summer stay. The only thing that would have made our stay better was air conditioning in the house or at least another swamp cooler for downstairs use (it got uncomfortably hot during one week of our stay). If you are serious about cooking during your stay (as we were), I would recommend bringing your own sharp knives and pots and pans--but that's just us and we would probably do that anywhere we stayed. The kitchen certainly had sufficient basics otherwise, and plenty of nice dishware, etc. Overall, a wonderful stay in a great home."

  • Sweet little apartment, perfect for a couple

"My husband and I enjoyed staying at Casita Montoya for the weekend. We had everything we needed in this cozy little place. The king sized bed was comfy, the place was very clean and decorating was cute. It was within a 5 minute walk to Kit Carson Rd (leading to galleries, restaurants, Historic Taos Inn and Adobe Bar, etc.)."

  • Spacious and Beautiful Adobe House in Taos

"Our family stayed in this beautiful home over the Christmas break. The house was very comfortable with a great kitchen, stocked with pots and pans and ample herbs for great cooking. It is located in a quiet cul-de-sac within walking distance to old-town Taos. We were six adults and two dogs, and we never had the feeling that we were too close to each other. One bathroom has a great steam room-shower. There was a garage where we could park one car, and the other cars were parked on the driveway. The communication with the owners was quick and informative. There was a TV in the house but we didn't have time to watch, there were many books and some games available, and we lit a fire one night and played the piano (what a great bonus!). We went skiing and hiking and visited Taos Pueblo. We had a wonderful time in Taos and this vacation home contributed 100% to our happiness!"
