  • Perfect Taos Retreat

"This was our second visit to Taos, and first staying at this house. We loved it! Great location that is walking distance to downtown and easy drive to skiing. The house was spacious for our family of four, and we enjoyed the fireplaces and views out the front window. We are planning to visit again next spring break!"

  • Charming Magic

"During a ski vacation our family stayed in this enchanting home--during the biggest snowfall of the year. We got caught up with the fireplaces, hot tub, cushy robes, a well stocked kitchen, and the overall warming comfort of Melissa's home filled with personal touches. Dana, the caretaker, shoveled snow for us in the morning and provided seasoned firewood for a month. This creates the perfect getaway for romance or for a family. The tree house is mouth dropping, sleeping four, the casita across from the main house, spacious and perfect for kids. I'm a cook, so I loved the Chambers gas stove and made cast iron pan seared filet mignons. We will be back and are spreading the word! Thank you, Melissa, for being a true hostess."

  • Great Escape

"My grown daughter and our two (small) dogs stayed at this casita for a week in late October. The house is colorful, comfortable and a bit quirky (step up, now step down) but we didn't mind. Our Corgi was a bit confused by the steps but after a couple of days he was a pro. The weather was perfect, in between summer and ski seasons. The house had everything we needed, and the washer-dryer was particularly appreciated. It was also very quiet; we were never bothered by neighborhood noise. There is a school next door where you will hear the children playing at recess but really, is that noise? We enjoyed great meals at Michael's Kitchen (southern pecan pancakes to die for), veggie burgers at the Ale House and vegetarian entrees at La Cueva. Chris was so easy to work with while making arrangements, I would not hesitate to recommend her and her sweet house."

  • A month in Taos

"This was the second time we stayed at Adobe de Estrellas. The house is beautiful and the location is perfect for us. I can walk to tennis courts at Quail Ridge, it is a short drive to afternoon ice cream at Taos Cow in Arroyo Seco, hiking in the ski valley is nearby, and the town is 10 mins away. And after all that there is the hot tub. We hope to return."
