  • Best choice in the area.

"Excellent choice as a unique and comfortable place to stay while in Roswell area or passing through. The ranch is wonderfully remote, quiet and lovely. The casita is delightful. It's country cozy/western design is tasteful and fully functional. Patricia and Kim are lovely and helpful hosts. My son and I had a wonderful two night stay there."

  • Wonderful place to stay in downtown Taos

"We stayed twice in December during ski trips to Taos. Once in the larger house and then in the smaller casita. Both places were well equipped, inviting and sufficiently warm for the cold December nights. They felt like home! The location is superb as we walked to Christmas festivities in the plaza and to nearby restaurants. David was great to deal with but the real treat was getting to know Yavanne. She took excellent care of us, made sure that we had everything we needed, and even offered to cook for my 4 college aged boys (sons and nephews) that came with insatiable appetites. What a godsend to find food waiting for us when we returned from the ski hill. I recommend asking her to cook for your family/group!! She is a superb cook - better than the restaurants nearby - best guacamole that we have had and nice traditional roasted green chili stew (spicy which our NM kids have been missing in college!). We are already planning additional ski trips to Taos and will be talking to Yavanne about cooking more dishes for us. See you soon Yavanne and next time we are bringing some good wine to go with your food! Thanks."

  • Quaint Southwestern Country Getaway

"I spent two weeks at the guest house and the property, as well as the town of Dixon, has hooked me for life. The guest house is nestled on a large lot amidst the hills of northern New Mexico with a rolling creek immediately off the back deck. The sound of the water and gorgeous scenery beyond are nourishing to the soul. This late October and early November revealed brilliant autumn colors in every direction, making the experience even more memorable. The guest house, while seemingly small and simple in the photos, lives large and is well laid out for comfortable dining, lounging and sleeping. Great for one or two people on retreat. The town of Dixon is rich in New Mexican history and is teeming with friendly people, art, a suprisingly well-stocked grocery and an outstanding local cafe. Just a little further away are more activities at the Rio Grande Gorge, Taos and Santa Fe. The hosts are very personable, knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with, while being respectful of your privacy. I can highly recommend this property to anyone needing to get away from the big city to unwind, reconnect with nature or be close to the action without being right in the middle of it. This was a memorable getaway and I look forward to returning time and again."

  • What a great house!

"My wife and I stayed here in October and November, 2014, and loved it. This was our first VRBO and we were a little hesitant but it all went fine. I love the classic NM architecture with Viga beams, arches, niches, and lots of tile. I enjoyed walking through the neighborhoods of Picacho Hills and studying the Southwest style architecture and landscaping. We hate to leave and would like to return again next year."
