  • Good location and nice unit

"Overall our stay with two children was a very good experience. The unit was very tastefully decorated and supplied with ample linens, cooking utensils, plates and glasses but could use more plastic cups for small children to use. There are also a good selection of books and music CDs along with lots of firewood although the wood was green and needed a few more months of seasoning to burn properly in the kiva. The radiant floor heating kept the place very comfortable during our stay in March as there was still snow on the ground in places. The small "library nook" was an excellent place to read or watch TV, but the couch was the only comfortable place to sit in the main living area and unfortunately oriented with its back to windows and thus missing the beautiful view of the city and mountains. Likewise, the outside patio has one comfortable lounger but the other chairs were missing cushions, again, making seating for more than one or two people not very relaxing. We used the outdoor grill once and it was in very good condition, relatively clean (for a grill) and worked just fine. The location on the hill offers wonderful views and a quiet retreat from the city but the walk back from town may be a challenge for seniors or persons with disabilities. So a good place for 1-2 fit adults and 1-2 children but before we return we'd like to see more comfortable seating in the living and patio areas, and reorientation of the living seating to take in the views."

  • Marvelous and very relaxing

"This cabin has all the amenities that my family needed. My children enjoyed waking up to feeding the wild turkeys and deer. Colleen (owner) and Rene (property manager) were available at any given time. Highly recommended if you need family time and relaxation. Of course there is shopping, skiing, tubing, casinos and Billy the Kid Museum just several miles away. If you have animals there is a pet motel right down the street. Don't hesitate, go there. We plan to return in the summer time. Thank you Colleen and Rene! Molly Garcia Idalou, TX."

  • Love it

"This was our 3rd year at this location and it feels like home. It's perfect for our high school girl's mini-reunion! Beautiful view, easily accessible, plenty of room"

  • Great for large groups!

"Angel View Haus was great for our ski vacation, which included 3 families and a total of 16 people, including 7 children. The two living areas gave us plenty of room to spread out and not feel crowded. The kitchen had everything we needed. We visited over Spring Break, and it was bright and sunny (even hot) every day. Because of the time of year, the slopes were great the first two days, then got nice and slushy on the third (to be expected at Spring Break). The hot tub room was a sight for sore muscles at the end of a long day on the slopes. It gave the adults a nice "time out" after tucking the kids into bed. The owners were more than accommodating. They responded to numerous emails, from several different members of my group, quickly and efficiently. By the time we had arranged lift tickets, received recommendations for rentals and restaurants, I started to feel like Kendall was a member of the family! The only downside we experienced was completely out of the owners' control. As others have mentioned, the driveway is smallish and, because of the Spring warmth and the location of the house, it got pretty muddy during the day. If you're looking for a great place to stay, close to the slopes, with plenty of other things to do when you're off the slopes, look no further. Highly recommended, and we would definitely stay again."
