  • Outstanding

"Everything about this place is outstanding. Our three kids really enjoyed the space and spectacular view. Everything was very well kept, and the owner was really nice and helpful. We're very grateful to have the opportunity to stay here. Simply beautiful. We might have found our home away from home. Many thanks."

  • Excellent place for a group of about 15

"This facility is gorgeous and the views, especially at sunset and sunrise, can't be beat anywhere. The office staff are always helpful, the room s are beautiful and well designed, the beds comfortable and bedding changed weekly. The photos on the website represent it well. The library is so large that books are filed by Dewey Decimal and should not be returned by readers, like in a good institutional library. Kitchen is very well equipped with two modern refrigerators and an AGA stover with 4 different ovens and 4-5 stovetop burners. Washers and driers are provided. Of course, you need to bring your own food, so shop in Santa Fe before you arrive!"

  • Great spring skiing experience

"This place has a great layout for two families, with a smaller master bedroom downstairs (with private bath), a larger master on the second floor, and a large sleeping loft on the top floor for kids. Our group of nine was very comfortable. The chalet is beautifully constructed and carefully maintained. I was very impressed with the quality of the furnashings and a good collection of videos for nightime relaxation. We could not "Ski-in" due to warm weather, but did not mind the walk to and from the Pioneer lift (it was very doable for lunch). We will certainly considering coming back next time we want to relax in Taos."

  • Casita Maria is a wonderful Taos getaway spot!

"My husband and our two dogs all thoroughly enjoyed staying at Casita Maria last Thursday through Monday. What a delight to sink into this beautifully decorated, quiet amazing space and relax for a few days with our two beloved fur babies! The dogs LOVED exploring the lawn outside and lazing around on the deck in the mornings and evenings when it was cooler out. Every little detail was attended to, and we could have easily just hung out at the house the whole time. We did get out and about quite a bit, though, and spent time checking out some galleries (one in particular is our new fave -- and it was just a 10 minute walk up the street from Casita Maria), eating at our favorite Taos restaurants, and catching some live music at the Taos Inn. The house itself has a "Taos meets midcentury modern" feel to it and the owner has clearly thought of every last detail that someone staying there might need. Beautiful linens, towels, toiletries all provided, and if you plan to cook at home you'll have everything you need including basic kitchen staples already in the pantry. The days were hot while we were there, but after sunset when it cooled down we enjoyed soaking in the hot tub, too. Cannot wait to go back and stay there again the next long weekend we get away to Taos!"
