"My family booked the house as a getaway for 4.5 days. The pictures do not do it justice. The house is lovely and is very secluded and private. I would book it again and again! A small word to the wise, there are no window treatments so be ready to adopt an early to bed , early to rise mentality. Not always synonymous with vacation......."

  • Cozy and Quaint Casita in a Wonderful Location

"This is a very charming and quaint casita and the owner Janice made our trip. Visited Santa Fe for the first time and Janice left us everything we needed to have a wonderful visit...even leaving coffee and scones for us in the morning since we got in late! This casita is perfectly located only a 5-10 minute walk from the Plaza, Railyard, or Canyon Road or a very short car ride away from any surrounding local's restaurants or trailheads for hiking. Easy access to a nearby Trader Joe's or Whole Foods to stock up on supplies to enjoy the lovely front patio area under shaded trees. The casita itself is clean, charming and a romantic place retreat after a full day of seeing all that Santa Fe has to offer. The neighborhood is quiet and the perfect, short distance from all the tourists around the main attractions. I'd highly recommend this casita and will return!"

  • The best accommodations!

"Thanks so much for providing a fantastic house for our family of 5 (2 colege students and a HS student) to gather for vacation. The house was like a home with great furnishings, fanatic view and lighting, everything anyone could use in the kitchen, well maintained, very up to date technologically. We enjoyed the hiking trails around the home for exercise and good talks. Angel Fire and the Enchanted Cirlce has activities for all from good resturaunts, shopping in Taos and every thrill seekers dream (rafting, climbing, downhill biking...)If we decide to vacation at Angel Fire again we would make every effort to stay at the Grieco House again, unless we buy our own home at his great destination."

  • Spectacular

"Casa del Oso exceeded our expectations. While the pictures of the property displayed on VRBO portray the house accurately, they simply can't capture the beauty of the house and it's expansive surroundings or the quality of the decorating style. The house is also much larger and spacious than it appears in the photographs. You have to actually visit this house to appreciate it. We were a group of 8 women and we all agreed Casa del Oso is the most beautifully appointed house any of us had ever rented. We all marveled that the owners were willing to share their home with renters. Every nook and cranny displayed treasures which appeared to have been collected locally and from around the world. The location, an easy 12-15 mins from central Santa Fe and the Plaza (parking in town was easy and only $10 per day), offered the peaceful, quiet solitude of the desert with glorious views. The property is in a neighborhood but felt very remote and totally private. Several of us enjoyed early morning walks in the neighborhood but never saw another soul. The kitchen was well appointed, huge and well stocked with necessary items like detergent, sponges, paper towels, spices, etc. The manager of the property, Jesse, was easy to work with -- she gave good directions and explanations about the house, which was very clean and well cared for. Firewood was stocked just outside the front door. Our visit coincided with the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta (an easy hour's drive away) and Oct was a spectacular time of the year to visit the area as the Aspens were golden and gorgeous! I would definitely recommend this property and visit again."
