  • Adobe Guest House in Santa Fe, New Mexico

"I loved staying in this fully equipped home in the country on quiet acreage with beautiful views of the area. It was a wonderful place to get away from it all, paint, walk, enjoy the outdoors, listen to music and go into Santa Fe and surrounding places. I had a full kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and large living-dining room with a loft bedroom up the ladder. Satellite radio, TV and internet were fairly good but slower than in the city, cell reception with Verizon was on and off intermittently. The only thing I would have changed were the locks on the doors! The front door didn't lock at all, had to use a chair and the back door had to be slammed to close tight and lock. Everything else was perfect. The owner lives in a separate, attached home, was available if needed, but rarely home so I experienced lots of privacy, with all the amenities I needed for 4 days! I'd go back again anytime! Thank you for the use of your home, I enjoyed it very much and would recommend it to anyone."

  • January Last Minute Get-Away

"We love Cloudcroft and have visited numerous times. The cabin was a great place to stay and had everything we needed. Its hard to find a rental with one king bed much less two. We enjoyed the hot tub particularly after going on a hike one of the days we were there. The beds were very comfortable, we had all the towels and kitchen items we needed and there was a nice selection of DVD's available. It was also great to have the washer and dryer. I read several reviews before our stay and saw the comments about the downstairs being very cold. Because of that I brought a small heater with us. I was glad I did. The thermostat would only go to 70 for the heat which did not take the chill out and the bottom floor stayed extremely cold. We had our two daughters with us who ended up sharing the 2nd king bed because of the cold. I would recommend either the owners leave small portable heaters or allow the heat to be raised more than 70. Other than that one issue the house was great and in a central area. We had a great time and would stay again."

  • Wonderful casita in downtown Taos

"We stayed twice in December during ski trips to Taos. Once in the larger house and then in the smaller casita. Both places were well equipped, inviting and sufficiently warm for the cold December nights. They felt like home! The location is superb as we walked to Christmas festivities in the plaza and to nearby restaurants. David was great to deal with but the real treat was getting to know Yavanne. She took excellent care of us, made sure that we had everything we needed, and even offered to cook for my 4 college aged boys (sons and nephews) that came with insatiable appetites. What a godsend to find food waiting for us when we returned from the ski hill. I recommend asking her to cook for your family/group!! She is a superb cook - better than the restaurants nearby - best guacamole that we have had and nice traditional roasted green chili stew (spicy which our NM kids have been missing in college!). We are already planning additional ski trips to Taos and will be talking to Yavanne about cooking more dishes for us. See you soon Yavanne and next time we are bringing some good wine to go with your food! Thanks."

  • Feels Like Home to Me

"Lovely little place in a great location. Every day we took a walk to the plaza. It's very comfortable with a front and back patio and even though it shares it's outside walls with the next door houses it feels private. The little plaza is secluded and feels very safe. One of the neighbors has lots of kitties and now that we're gone we miss them! We did have trouble with the altitude, but not not everyone will. We spent all of August in this little adobe and it was perfect for us."
