  • Wonderful stay at Casita de Chuparosa!

"Dear Jeff and Marilyn~ Abiquiu and your very charming casita are still with me in memory as I go back to my day-to-day... this has been by far the most wonderful vacation! It was such a pleasure to meet you both and I must say, you were born to be proprietors of such a unique and wonderful experience! The casita and everything involved surpassed any expectation I could summon for the perfect vacation! You spoiled us with the marvelous coffee, the fesh eggs, jams and artisan breads....and the beautiful decor , comfort and charm of the casita blended so well with the ambience of the land around us. Both your company was so vibrant and fun...only wish we could have spent more time! Just sitting and watching the birds, playing with the sweet puppies, feeding the Donkeys and listening to the distant coyotes was nirvana it itself! There is so much to see and do there and well, it was pure magic! I would and will recommend your casita to is an experience many need to cherish and treat themselves to. I wish you both the best, and success in everything you do~ as much as you plan and think things through to make your guests comfortable in every possible way, I am sure anything you take on will be met with greatness! May you always be blessed with joy and satisfaction in knowing how wonderful you are; you have given us an unforgettable week!! Thank you so much for everything!! Warm regards, Karen Cunningham"

  • Perfect

"I've happily stayed at several VRBO homes and this ranks among the best. We were 6 adults and an infant and all had perfect accommodations (3 king bedrooms and a double). The house is clean, very well equipped, and just a great place to stay. Jemez Springs is a great location for relaxing and sight seeing. This trip we spent time at the Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque (an hour or so away). The Fiesta was remarkable but getting out of the crowds and back to Jemez was also a delight. We did an hour soak at Giggling Springs and I can recommend breakfast at the Stage Stop. The drive to the Gilman Tunnels south of Jemez Springs on Hwy. 485 is a great short scenic trip. Thanks!"

  • First Rate

"We were attending a wedding and needed a place for three couples and a 10 year old. We wanted something nice, clean, away from from the crowds. While the wedding was the primary task, we wanted to work in day-trips to ABQ and Santa Fe. This place was outstanding. Crystal was super easy and responsive. The house is modern and has all the amenities. The back patio is secluded and has a very nice grill. One of the many benefits is that all three bedrooms are upstairs. That makes it easy for the early risers to go downstairs and get the coffee going without bothering the others. Super nice, highly recommend."

  • Great family retreat!

"We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Corrales house. We came on a family vacation with our 3 boys (5, 8, 11). They loved exploring the "desert" on the grounds, watching the hummingbirds out the back window, and finding roadrunners and jackalopes on the front porch every morning. We just used the home as our base for the long weekend, but it provided a perfect respite every evening. Sarah was very responsive and helpful with all of our questions. We ventured into Albuquerque and explored the science museums (Explora! and the Natural History Museum), the Indian Cultural Center, and briefly wandered around old town. We really enjoyed the restaurant "Range" for dinner (we ate there 2 nights and had leftovers for breakfast!). Our best meal, however, was at the Indian Cultural Center. We enjoyed the "Pueblo Feast". What a deal! $24 fed our family of 5. We also visited the Zia Pueblo for their cultural celebration on August 15th, and took a road trip to Santa Fe and Taos. Our boys favorite activity was Taking a Llama to Lunch in the mountains near Taos. Highly recommended. Thanks, Sarah and Stan for providing a wonderful home away from home for us."
