  • Outstanding!

"The Casita was amazing....frankly it was big enough and comfortable enough that our family called it The CASA. The setting fantastic just far enough away from town to get an outstanding remote feeling though easily accessible even on those snowy days. Clean, comfortable, well decorated and every possible amenity was thought of for us to include even some basic cooking requirements such as spices, etc... Our Christmas break was enhanced by our stay in the casita"

  • Winter Vacation

"We were a family of 12 and we had an amazing time. The cabin was beautiful and had everything. We needed. Bonnie, the owner, was amazing and very attentive and helpful. Definitely looking forward to visiting again. Loved everything about the vacation and the cabin had a lot to do with it. Happy Family!!!"

  • Wonderful Christmas in Santa Fe

"We've been talking about spending Christmas in Santa Fe for years, and this year finally decided to do it. We rented this lovely casita and were so happy we did. Decorated in charming cast-offs, southwest-inspired fabrics and original art, this adorable, cosy place was the perfect size for two adults, and our dog. It has all the necessary mod-cons, including a dishwasher, a washer/dryer, a nicely equipped kitchen (with an electric tea kettle!) and two wood-burning fireplaces (note: be sure to push the grate all the way to the back of the fireplace, or you'll set off the smoke alarm, which we did ;-( The location is spectacular. We walked everywhere; to the plaza, to Canyon Road, to the rail-yard area (kind of a schlep but invigorating!) The off-street parking was very appreciated, especially since it was snowing when we arrived and parking on the street to unload would have been a chore, and possibly dangerous. The Casa also features a charming fenced in yard (which our dog appreciated) and a lovely veranda (which weather did not permit us to use, but looks very inviting.) The only quibble I have involves entertainment. We arrived with a stack of our favorite Christmas movies, only to discover there was no way to view them as there is no DVD player. The unit does have broadband cable, but it is very limited (no movie channels.) So unless you are content to watch old episodes of "Hoarders," or "Love It Or List It" (with many commercial breaks) be sure to pack a lot of reading material. Other than this, it was a fantastic experience and I certainly hope we can return in the future."

  • Lovely casita. Great location; peaceful yet close to almost everything.

"This great casita, in a perfect location, JUST two blocks from historic downtown, yet far enough away to feel peaceful, was perfect for our mother-daughter trip to introduce daughter to New Mexico. A patio out front and deck out back served us well when we wanted somewhere to sit outside (which we did every night and most mornings). Morning walks to Hilltop Park (get the cardiovascular system going). Walk to and along Canyon Road. We drove to the Railyard and Saturday market (MUST) but could have walked safely. The house itself is well-equipped and clean. We wanted for nothing. This is the third Colorful Santa Fe house for our family and friends. We will always seek them out when staying in the area again. Don't hesitate. It's worth the little extra."
