  • Best. Cabin. Ever!

"We stayed over the New Years with a big family so we had both upper and lower levels and was more than perfect. Everyone had a great time being in the middle of the wilderness. The cabin was beautiful, and even decorated for the Christmas season. Trust us that the pictures don't do it justice. The sun set is absolutely amazing as it sets right over the balcony and can be seen from the living room. We took many family photos with the sun setting over the Pecos and will keep those memories close forever. The place is remote enough that you have a peaceful place of solitude but close enough to Santa Fe should you want shopping and a classic piece of the southwest. However, if making the trip in winter ,and there is snow, you will need 4 wheel drive or chains as a couple of the turns get iced over, but the drive is beautiful. We recommend for family and friend gatherings. We hope to go back next winter. Nikki is very helpful and takes great care of the cabin. This place will give you memories for a life time"

  • Wonderful Christmas in Santa Fe

"We've been talking about spending Christmas in Santa Fe for years, and this year finally decided to do it. We rented this lovely casita and were so happy we did. Decorated in charming cast-offs, southwest-inspired fabrics and original art, this adorable, cosy place was the perfect size for two adults, and our dog. It has all the necessary mod-cons, including a dishwasher, a washer/dryer, a nicely equipped kitchen (with an electric tea kettle!) and two wood-burning fireplaces (note: be sure to push the grate all the way to the back of the fireplace, or you'll set off the smoke alarm, which we did ;-( The location is spectacular. We walked everywhere; to the plaza, to Canyon Road, to the rail-yard area (kind of a schlep but invigorating!) The off-street parking was very appreciated, especially since it was snowing when we arrived and parking on the street to unload would have been a chore, and possibly dangerous. The Casa also features a charming fenced in yard (which our dog appreciated) and a lovely veranda (which weather did not permit us to use, but looks very inviting.) The only quibble I have involves entertainment. We arrived with a stack of our favorite Christmas movies, only to discover there was no way to view them as there is no DVD player. The unit does have broadband cable, but it is very limited (no movie channels.) So unless you are content to watch old episodes of "Hoarders," or "Love It Or List It" (with many commercial breaks) be sure to pack a lot of reading material. Other than this, it was a fantastic experience and I certainly hope we can return in the future."

  • Spring Break Getaway

"This was a perfect fit for our family. We loved the privacy and beautiful views. Our vacation included skiing at Santa Fe and it was the perfect location close to the ski resort. Our last day we spent exploring the hiking trails right by the neighborhood and then headed into downtown Old Santa Fe. Again- a quick drive into town for anything. The house was clean, comfortable, modern! And, views were amazing driving in and out. It was such a nice place to come back to after our days out and about. We would come back again!"
