  • Perfect location for Taos trip

"My husband and I and three small kids stayed here for four nights over Thanksgiving. We had a fantastic time. The kids loved seeing all the animals around the property - which you could see from pretty much anywhere inside the house with all the wonderful windows. We saw two coyotes strolling across the property, rabbits, and of course the local birds. While in Taos we saw tons of deer, some big horn sheep, wild turkey, grouse... My four year old was only disappointed not to have seen a unicorn. Despite the rustic feel of the cabin and seemingly remoteness of its location, we were very comfortable thanks to the modern amenities and 12-minute drive to downtown Taos. The laundry, dishwasher, TV, internet, phone, DVD player all worked as advertised. We had lots of winter fun too. The kids were able to sled down the hiking trails directly behind the cabin on amazing sliders left for us by Garrett. The wood stoves were more than enough to heat the cabin when the temp dipped below freezing and the sun really heats it up during the day. Only negative is that the kitchen table and chairs are pretty wobbly and might be due for some attention or replacement. Garrett and Annie were both very helpful and prompt with replies. They have instructions and places to go in the area which pretty much cover any questions. On their recommendation we ate at the Guadalajara Grill in Taos and had the most amazing Mexican food. Garrett even tracked down something I left behind in the cabin - THANK YOU! Can't wait to visit again and enjoy a different season."

  • Charming Retreat

"What an enjoyable, comfortable and homey stay we had for 2 months! Jake and Robyn are wonderful hosts, the views and the surrounding nature is more than you can ask for. Such a comfortable and homey, and thoughtful western decor made us feel right at home. There are many walking areas closeby, as well as lots of things to conveniently see and do around Placitas, ABQ and Sante Fe/Taos areas- but yet we felt like we were in a secluded nature environment. We had a great stay and look forward to returning!"

  • Lovely!

"My husband and I enjoyed our very brief stay at the Casita - very quiet, comfortable bed; loved the bathroom tiles and visits with the dogs. The owners are friendly and there if you need them. The bottle of wine was very welcome! Thank you!"

  • Great Place For Family or Multiple Couples

"Very beautiful surroundings right down the road from Pecos and the Pecos River. We really enjoyed this cabin for a sibling reunion. The cabin has great accomodations for multiple adults with the four bedrooms. The owners are great people to do business with. I highly recommend this cabin for a great vacation!"
