  • Wonderful Mountain and Ski Vacation for our family!

"We had the opportunity to stay at this lovely mountain cabin with our 10 year-old daughter. The cabin itself is a peaceful retreat that allows you to relax and enjoy nature. The wraparound deck and hot tub are a real bonus! Just sitting outside on the rocking chairs and enjoying the views and taking in the fresh air, whether night or day, is a real treat. The accommodations are very comfortable and we began to feel at home very quickly. The cabin had everything we needed to make some home cooked meals and even just listen to music and play games or take in a movie and relax. Our daughter found the "secret clubhouse" out back and spent some quality time making snowballs and sifting through her bag of gems from the local gem mine. One of the most exciting and unique experiences was her feeding the deer and getting to see her interact with these magnificent creatures up close. Without question, those are moments she will cherish for a lifetime. The cabin is located very close to downtown Ruidoso and we enjoyed shopping, dining, and wine tasting while we were there. We also were able to enjoy Ski Apache, which is just a short drive away. The mountain was a lot of fun, and it was nice to come home and light a fire and relax and prepare again for our next days' activities. The property owners were tremendous. We had a dental emergency for one of the kids while we were on this vacation and literally had a recommendation for a local dentist within 15 minutes! Not only were they helpful with that, but gave us so many great ideas on food and activities. It is evident that this is a place they truly cherish. I would recommend staying here very highly!"

  • Roomy getaway

"This house is just as described. Nothing too fancy and definitely not centrally located, but plenty of room and a great place to stay for our large group (4 adults and 4 children)."

  • Loved our stay!

"Our adult family of 4 stayed New Years week. Casa Seco was lovely in every way! Well appointed, comfortable and great views of the mountains! The heated floors and fireplace kept the house cozy in single digit weather. Neighborhood is quiet and restful! The Appaloosas next door created many photo opps in the snow. Arroyo Seco is within walking distance and Taos is 10 minutes by car. The owners were helpful and easy to work with. Can't wait to return!!"
