  • A Great House for Time with the Family

"We rented the house for Christmas 2013 and it was a great place for the family to meet; enough bedrooms for all, plenty of bathrooms, and a FULLY stocked kitchen. The kitchen had more dishes, silverware, cooking platters, spices than I have at home. It made cooking holiday meals easy. The house was a little worn around the edges, but we knew what we were getting when we rented it, and had no complaints. In addition, the owner is very responsive with any questions or issues you have upon arrival."

  • Beautiful weather, lovely property and village

"Our family rented this property for Canadian Thanksgiving. The local real estate agent whose firm looks after the property, was very communicative and charming. The house is lovely, spacious and warm, and with a wonderful library. The leaves had begun turning colors, and the weather was wonderful. We enjoyed bonfires at the beach, hiking around town, and a visit to Fort Ticonderoga."

  • ALL YOU COULD NEED WITHIN WALKING DISTANCE

"Being a single parent safety is always my first concern. With this cottage I have no worries. Just steps off the main street you find yourself in a family friendly area and I felt confident enough to allow my child to have time to himself for an hour or so. Shepards Park Beach is within walking distance as well as Fort William Henry, Million Dollar Beach and Around the World Putt-Putt. It is nice to be able to cook your own meals, sit out on the back porch or just have a cup of coffee while reading the newspaper on the picnic table. Without the added expense of going out for our meals it left me with the extra money to do something special: Kayaking, Extreme Sports, Fishing, or take a ride on a Steamboat. Remember you are just a short drive to Bolton Landing, Albany, Fort Ticonderoga, and Glens Falls. The cottage is clean and comfortable. It is just the right place for someone who doesn't need all the frills of a hotel and just wants a place to call "home" for awhile. This is our second year at the cottage with a planned return visit next year. Terri has been very helpful and willing to help me with any issues that arise. With no doubt I would recommend this cottage to anyone who wants some peace and quite and leave to the vehicle "at home"."

  • Great Family Spot!

"Our family spent three nights at this cabin. If you are looking for an opportunity to connect as a family by spending quality time together this the place to go. The cabin is beautiful and far more beautiful than the posted pictures can portray. The property is right on the river and provides great opportunity for exploration especially if you have young children."
