"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Camp Wayback. The location is close enough to Main Street to be convenient, but far enough away to feel like you're in the woods. We chose to drive in to town because the curvy, uphill road seemed less than promising to walk back on after dark, but it takes only several minutes to get to town and unless some special event like the Iron Man competition is going on, parking is widely available and very affordable.
Kim was an excellent host and very helpful regarding suggestions on good places to hike, visit, eat, etc. The cabin was perfect for the two of us: roomy and comfortable. Our only complaint would be that the grill was really coated in animal fat that we couldn't scrub off, so being vegan, we gave up on using it, but that's a minor issue. All in all, we would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to rent a cabin in beautiful Lake Placid."

"We had a great time! We had the point almost all to ourselves. It was beautiful to see spring arrive. It was nice to walk with the kids in the great weather. We had a delicious meal at The Alpine in Constableville and fun at both The Pine Tree and Trailside. We can't wait to come back."

"My wife and I spent two weeks at the house during the Fall foliage and this is a gem of a spot! The view of the lake (and loons) were phenomenal and looking out the window was a calming meditation unto itself. The master bedroom feels like its right on the water and the view could be the best on the lake. The rental was in immaculate condition, tastefully decorated, and even had a full spice selection for our fish. In other words, we didn't need to bring anything to feel like we were already at home. The living room has a nice gas fireplace next to a comfy glide rocker that is a nice touch. The stay was restorative and very peaceful all around. We highly recommend this home to anyone looking for that perfect retreat spot in the Adirondacks."

"We just got home from our eighth annual visit to the Loony Bin on Loon Lake. The owners continue to add special touches that make each year so special. The quiet location and the view are the best we've ever found. There are Loons on this lake and we have always been lucky enough to see and hear them. The worst part of staying at the Loony Bin is having to leave!"
