  • wonderful

"Understood and over delivered, this home and its owner were fantastic. From the VT castings Wood stove to the beautiful deck, this house was the perfect retreat. Grill, tv and beds were all fantastic and the layout was ideal. We will be back."

  • Wonderful family rental, close to village yet private

"This house was a good fit for two families plus grandparents. The common rooms were large enough to accommodate our party of ten if we all wanted to be together, but there was plenty of room for us to spread out when we wanted time apart! The house was just as shown in the pictures. The covered patio and outdoor fire pit are really great features you won't find at other rentals. The location is fantastic if you want to be within walking distance of the village, but still have quiet and privacy. It was ~ five to seven minute walk to the village and Shephard's Park. We needed a stroller for the younger ones in our party (~ 3 years old). The Shephard's Park beach was great for the kids (age 3 - 7). There was no need to go to Million Dollar Beach. We found the beach rules to be very strict relative to what we are used to, and did not spend a lot of time there. Claire was very helpful before and during our vacation. The house felt like a home, and was nicely decorated. We would recommend this property to others. The Prospect Mountain hike (just behind the house) was very nice, but I would not recommend for small children. We really enjoyed Capri's pizza on the strip. We saw the Thursday night fireworks from Neptune's restaurant - great place for the whole family. If you are looking to get out of the village check out the Painted Pony Rodeo - also great for families."

  • 39 year College reunion

"A group of nine of us had our annual reunion (4 nights) at this beautiful house and found it a perfect size and very comfortable. We were 9 men so we used a couple of Aerobeds. If you need the downstairs bedroom warm leave the fireplace off and let the furnace do the job. There was plenty of hot water and with 4 bathrooms never any wait. The kitchen while beautiful could be a little better equipped ( a few more utensils ) but no big deal. All in all a 5 star house. Apparently it is for sale so I can only hope it will be available for our 40th"

  • Beautiful comfortable house in an excellent location

"I stayed here with a group of 13 other friends for a long weekend; the house was amazingly comfortable - luxurious actually. It had everything we needed and more, and the owners were very responsive when we had questions. We'd definitely stay again!"
