  • Wonderful vacation cottage on Willsboro Bay/Lake Champlain

"This was one of the most pleasant vacation cottages I have ever rented. The size is perfect for 2 to 6 people and it is extremely clean and comfortable in every way. The kitchen has everything you need for preparing great meals, the living room is very homey and there is a great view of the lake from almost every room of the cottage. I appreciated having cable TV, internet and good cell phone reception. The bathroom is modern with a wonderful shower and the beds are extremely comfortable. The house is located right on the shore of Willsboro Bay and has an amazing view north into Lake Champlain and a view west so you can see the Metroliner snake through the mountains on its way to Montreal. The dock is great for boating but it's also wonderful for pulling out at chair and reading a good book or just watching the light change over the water. Swimming is excellent here because the bottom is sandy and the water very clear. Also, it's protected because speed boats do not come into the area except to dock. The town of Willsboro is fairly quiet, but very pretty and has a variety of very accessible activities - a lovely 9 hole golf course, well-maintained public tennis courts and nearby hiking. There are two market/gas stations close by with all the necessities and excellent meat counters, so you don't have to go far for groceries. The two close-by marinas have restaurants, so dining out is convenient. Bicycling is perfect along Corlear Drive because it's fairly flat with very little car traffic. The owner was very personable, responsive and very pleasant to work with. What more can I say? I can't wait for next summer!"

  • Amazing Lakefront Escape!!

"Don't know where to start! The house was absolutely immaculate upon arrival, I'm talking clean like we were the first people who ever discovered this place. It was very nice to have everything you could ever need from fresh linens to every kitchen gadget, brand new grill, wifi, washer/dryer, to kayaks, floats, life vests, etc.... This was a very nice escape from the madness that lake George can become but close enough that if you decide to venture out its convenient. Sixflags, Martha's ice cream, and glen falls are all around the corner, but you'll soon realize as we did that there really is no reason to leave! Many nights were spent lakeside by the fire pit watching the stars and lake. Days consisted of kayaking, fishing, swimming on the sandy bottom lake front, and drinking many a cold adult beverage on the lake front lounges! Ospreys have a large nest next door and they are quite the sight to watch grab more fish than me or any of my group could catch on rod and reel! All in all not a single complaint, met owner and she's a doll, super accommodating! Can't wait to return for this new family tradition!"

  • Lovely ski house with amenities close by

"We were 5 adults and 3 children and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gore Mountain ski house. The house was clean upon our arrival and in spite of the very cold conditions, we were nice and warm inside. All amenities are super close by. We could head out to the mountain very easily in the mornings because the driveway and the streets were plowed consistently. Our kids had a fabulous time in the yard too after a day of skiing. Since the kitchen was large and well-equipped we were able to cook and enjoy breakfasts and dinners at the house. We would definitely return."

  • Great Experience Great location close to Lake Placid

"This Rental is gorgeous. We were a group of 12/3 families . We rented both houses and had 3 kitchens, with 5 t bedrooms total. The house is within 5-20 mins from everything. Whiteface mountain, Santa's Workshop, Swimming Gorges, Biking and hiking trails are all within 5 miles away. The town of Wilmington which is 3 miles away has 5 Star restaurants and a grocery store. The houses were perfectly decorated and super clean with all the comforts of home. The Adirondack furniture and décor made us feel like we were in one of the finest lodges. Each house was very well situated to give everyone privacy. The largest kitchen had room to seat everyone for group dinners and entertainment. We especially enjoyed the outdoor fire pits in the evening and the skiing at Whiteface Mountain during the day. We loved the quaint town of Lake Placid with all of the shops and restaurants. The owner was just a phone call away if we needed anything and she was very helpful in suggesting places of interest. We will definitely be back."
