  • Spacious !!!

"Last year, the guys decided to put our ski weekend back together after a long hiatus for marriages, kids, work etc. We thought the place we were in last year was nice. After walking in to this place, we all pretty much realized that there was no place else to stay while on our reborn tradition. This place has it all. Plenty of room for the crew. Large entry is tiled so you can strip off your ski stuff and hang it all. Kitchen is fully equipped. Plenty of seating around the table for meals. It's proximity to Gore mountain was excellent. So close. So clean. So comfortable. So looking forward to next year !!!"

  • Outstanding in Every Possible Way!

"We stayed at this cabin for a guys getaway weekend and it was exactly what we wanted. The trip was for white water rafting and seeing as this cabin was only 1 mile away it was perfect. First, majority of the guys were flying in from all over the country, so it took quite the coordination on my behalf, but the owner was more than accommodating; he suggested schedules, timelines, places to go, eat, drink, etc. Additionally, the owner gave us plenty to do in the cabin while we were there: TV, wifi, fireplace, BBQ. The cabin itself was well kept and very clean. It was cozy, yet spacious. This cabin is perfect for rafting, skiing, or even a weekend away in the Adirondacks. The cabin speaks for itself in the pictures, but in my opinion what is more important is how painless and simple the owner made the entire stay for us. I couldn't have asked for a better time! I would highly recommend this cabin."

  • Great skiing weekend

"The cabin proved to be a perfect weekend escape from NYC. We drove up on a Friday night (approx 6 hours after stopping for groceries), and although it was late, the graciously stayed up to escort us to the location and providing an overview of the solar electricity, wood-burning stove, etc. The cabin is larger than it appears in the picture, and is constructed as a large room with a loft over the front-half of the cabin. It is actually quite spacious inside. There is one private bedroom with a queen-size bed, and a loft with a king-size bed. An inflatable mattress and large sofa allow for comfortable sleeping arrangements for six people. The electricity is solar with a gas-generator backup, and there was no cell-phone service (although there was a land-line phone connection). This proved to be rather enjoyable as we were all disconnected from email, web, etc. The owner was extremely helpful and accommodating. We were late arriving on Friday evening, and the owner met us with no complaints to escort us to the cabin. We did have a minor leak from a loose drain-pipe under the kitchen sink, however this was promptly fixed when we notified the owner. We would certainly recommend this cabin for groups of 6 or less, everyone in our group agreed that we would like to return."

  • Beautiful Views

"We went to North Creek NY to ski at Gore. This had a beautiful view of the top of Gore from the large living room windows, and was only 5 minutes from the mountain. It is also across the street from Austin Pond. The pictures are pretty accurate. The house has a cozy feel to it. While the home is a bit older, the kitchen was well-equipped, and there were some newer improvements like the gorgeous living room wood floor, and outside deck. There were towels and linens, and plenty of space for 5 adults and 4 kids. We enjoyed a fire in the massive stone fireplace with the wood that was provided, and truly enjoyed the large open living space. There were no tvs- but we did not miss them. It was a nice change, and we found ourselves playing lots of nostalgic board games instead (provided). We had spotty cell phone service with Verizon, as expected from other reviews, but the internet connection was fine. North Creek NY is a pretty quiet area. However, there was a market a few miles away, and a restaurant, and the Diamond Head area of Lake George is just over a 1/2 hour away. We would definitely stay here again, and perhaps try a different season as well."
