  • A great place!!

"A wonderful place to stay while exploring the Adirondacks. We were here over Labor Day, but I could see where this would be a great place for skiing. The pictures were very representative of the place. A home away from home that was perfect for our threesome. So much better than a hotel! We were able to do hiking and sightseeing. Bob was great to work with. He was very helpful with any questions we had."

  • Beautiful Views

"We went to North Creek NY to ski at Gore. This had a beautiful view of the top of Gore from the large living room windows, and was only 5 minutes from the mountain. It is also across the street from Austin Pond. The pictures are pretty accurate. The house has a cozy feel to it. While the home is a bit older, the kitchen was well-equipped, and there were some newer improvements like the gorgeous living room wood floor, and outside deck. There were towels and linens, and plenty of space for 5 adults and 4 kids. We enjoyed a fire in the massive stone fireplace with the wood that was provided, and truly enjoyed the large open living space. There were no tvs- but we did not miss them. It was a nice change, and we found ourselves playing lots of nostalgic board games instead (provided). We had spotty cell phone service with Verizon, as expected from other reviews, but the internet connection was fine. North Creek NY is a pretty quiet area. However, there was a market a few miles away, and a restaurant, and the Diamond Head area of Lake George is just over a 1/2 hour away. We would definitely stay here again, and perhaps try a different season as well."

  • Excellent Family Vacation Home!

"We really enjoyed our stay at this family friendly vacation home! There was plenty of room for 8-10 of us to eat, sleep, and relax. We enjoyed making s'mores in the fire pit one night and it was very convenient to be a short walk from town. The house was filled with many conveniences that were a pleasant surprise (books, games, pamphlets of things to do, etc..). We would definitely stay here again!"

  • Fantastic house, fantastic location

"We stayed in the house for 3 nights in September. The house was extremely comfortable and well-appointed, and everything very neat and organized. Marta provided tons of helpful information ahead of time, including info and directions to local restaurants and attractions. Cell phone service was spotty in and around the house (there were a few places you could make calls, if you walk up the hill behind the house reception goes up tremendously) but this isn't a problem because there's a landline and wifi. The kitchen has every gadget, appliance and utensil you could ask for except a dishwasher, and the pantry was well-stocked which made shopping easy. There is a grocery store a short drive away in town. The wifi worked well in the entire house, and there are two TVs and a stereo including a plug for a phone or ipod. Everything that we needed was already in the house. Hot tub and outdoor fire place were both well-received as it dipped into the low 30s at night. All the beds were comfortable and made up with clean sheets and warm blankets. Location is great for skiing, hiking, swimming, and whitewater rafting on the Hudson. Not far from town but very quiet and secluded. The house was very clean when we arrived, and it was loaded with cleaning supplies which made it very easy to keep it that way when we checked out. Everyone had a fantastic weekend."
