  • Paradise at Lake Champlain

"My husband and I took our two grandchildren, 11 and 13, on vacation, and a wonderful memory was created. The home was clean, well appointed, and comfortable. Its location in a well protected cove was ideal. The owners, Barbara Payee and Doug Young, were friendly and helpful, but never intrusive. Days were spent fishing, boating, tubing, and swimming. Evenings were for barbecues and toasting smores in their firepit. We took our 17' boat to Burlington, Vermont, which was 15 minutes away. Another day, we drove our grandchildren to Quebec, Canada, which was about a half hour away. We would highly recommend this scenic retreat to everyone."

  • Amazing Lakefront Escape!!

"Don't know where to start! The house was absolutely immaculate upon arrival, I'm talking clean like we were the first people who ever discovered this place. It was very nice to have everything you could ever need from fresh linens to every kitchen gadget, brand new grill, wifi, washer/dryer, to kayaks, floats, life vests, etc.... This was a very nice escape from the madness that lake George can become but close enough that if you decide to venture out its convenient. Sixflags, Martha's ice cream, and glen falls are all around the corner, but you'll soon realize as we did that there really is no reason to leave! Many nights were spent lakeside by the fire pit watching the stars and lake. Days consisted of kayaking, fishing, swimming on the sandy bottom lake front, and drinking many a cold adult beverage on the lake front lounges! Ospreys have a large nest next door and they are quite the sight to watch grab more fish than me or any of my group could catch on rod and reel! All in all not a single complaint, met owner and she's a doll, super accommodating! Can't wait to return for this new family tradition!"

  • Great Family Get-Together

"Great house for a family get together. We had 8 adults and there was plenty of room for more! There was fun had by all with the ping pong table….board games played on the huge dining room table…and meals made in the large kitchen. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. There was fun going on hikes in the beautiful back yard - and many snowball fights!! Thank you for sharing your home with us."

  • What a view!!

"We just returned from a GREAT week on Lake George. We traveled with three families with kids ranging from 9-15. Without exception, after a few days we all agreed that we must return again next summer. The house was spacious enough for all. We rented a pontoon boat for the week from Chic's Marina- we were tubing and fishing daily. We found a company in town to deliver and pick up kayaks & paddle boards. (Riley's) We had a fire almost every night for s'mores and could hear some music from the village. We found that everyone enjoyed "old time" family fun. Trading in our phones and computers for volleyball, soccer, playing cards around the table. Even the teens in the group were able to accomplish this. We were close enough to the village to allow the teens to walk in on their own. They even found a nearby park to play basketball. The steps leading to the house were a bit steep, but once we unloaded, we were set for the week. The washer/dryer was very convenient to have and made life easier. The "cottage" had all the amenities we needed to prepare meals and store our food and beverages(2 fridges). We chose to cook most nights, as it is difficult to dine with such a large group. We had a great dinner at The Boat House. Every Thursday night the village hosts fireworks & I would say we had the best seats in the house. Although the area offers a variety of activities, we found it difficult to pull ourselves away from the relaxing views and water fun. Maybe next summer we will try parasailing over the lake or even a ride on the Minnie-Ha-Ha that went sailed by many times a day."
