Ironman Lake Placid rental home - perfect location!
"A group of 10 of us (and my little dog) stayed at this unique house. We loved all the antique details inside the home and the updates, like new showers on the 2nd floor and the amazingly huge remodeled kitchen.
This house was in the perfect location for IM Lake Placid as it was within walking distance (1/2 mile) from downtown main street and just 20-30 minutes away from the Oval (race venue). We loved being a bit tucked away from Main Street but it was still accessible - and this house was very close to the local grocery store!
We loved the house from the small "movie room" and huge dining room table (which made for great dinners together) to the mudroom and front hall to store all of our triathlon gear. There is SO much space in this house!!
I would highly recommend this house for big groups. The only downside is that it only has 2 showers (but 5 bathrooms and 2 clawfoot tubs) so people would need to share if they prefer showers over a bathtub."

"Excellent location. Eight of us. Two apartment house fitted our needs perfectly. We rented a boat for the week from Yankee Boat next door and spent every day at another island or location on the lake. Grandchildren ages 4 and 9 loved the destinations and being towed behind the boat on a large tube. Best locations - Speaker Heck Island ( 1.5 miles); Diamond Island ( 2.5 miles); Commission Point and Paradise Bay. Covered dock a real plus. Able to swim right off the dock in the protected cove. Nothing like boating and swimming with grandchildren !"

"We needed to find lodging near Saratoga Springs but everything was booked. We stumbled upon this option and I'm so glad we stayed here! This campground is run by a dedicated family that keeps the tent grounds, trailer lots, pond, and two cabins in pristine condition. The cabins are very near the pond and both have fire pits and Adirondack chairs available along with firewood. They thought of everything you'd need for "camping" without all the fuss. The cabins are compact , but everything was super clean and ready to go. Just my husband and I stayed, but I wish I had known about this place when our children were younger. They would've had a blast sleeping in the loft, swimming in the pond, or catching frogs/tadpoles! Ask Matt all your questions and he'll give you great tips. He suggested an awesome restaurant, and a wonderful afternoon trip up to Lake George. We stayed two nights -- wish we had more time to enjoy and explore this beautiful area of the country!"

"The location is ideal. Lake Placid village is just a few minutes drive away. Yet, you can also easily avoid the village crowds and get to your favorite hiking trails. In fact, you can walk right from the house to a trail that's suitable for hiking, single track mountain biking, or cross country skiing. If you like to run or road bike, you will love the fact that this house is right off River Road, which is an awesome road for either activity, because it has amazing views of Whiteface and the ski jumps. The house itself is very comfortable and clean. Loved the gas stove on the chilly mornings. And the outdoor fire pit is a lot of fun. I also enjoyed bringing my dog on my vacation, so I appreciate that my dog was welcome."
