  • Perfect house for weddings at the Sagamore

"This house was great for a group of friends attending a wedding at The Sagamore. The house was very clean and accurate to the description provided. The grill and fire pit were great features too. It was a 5 minute walk to the beach and no more then 10 to downtown Bolton Landing. It was much better staying here for my friends wedding at The Sagamore then paying the expensive price for staying at the Sagamore. Brian was a great contact for the house and was very helpful and easy to talk to. I would definitely recommend staying here."

  • Perfect Long Weekend Get Away from Brooklyn

"My wife and I took my parents up to Black Brook Lodge for a three-day weekend and we all loved it. The house is comfortable and low key but also features an amazing kitchen with first-rate appliances, cutlery, silverware, etc. It's a perfect combination of luxury and rustic. The house is near to excellent hikes and walks and the only sound you can hear is the nearby Saranac River, but you're also close to Lake Placid and Plattsburgh in case you want to see a film or shop or go out to eat (there's also ping pong, an excellent DVD collection, and a good library for indoor distractions). The property has extensive frontage on the Saranac River, with a number of excellent fishing spots within walking distance from the house. There are more fishing spots within a short drive, and it's 20 minutes to the Ausable River, which is one of the great trout streams in America. There's something for everyone and I can't recommend it highly enough."

  • Quiet, Peaceful, Relaxing

"My husband and I chose Church Pond for our first anniversary, and we could not have asked for a better place to stay. We didn't want to stay in a hotel (we wanted to be able to make our own meals) and this was perfect. From the boats on the pond, the hot tub, the fire pit and the fully stocked kitchen- we couldn't have asked for a better place. We enjoyed every second of our mini vacation. Thank you so much for sharing your piece of serenity with us! We hope to be back again!"

  • What a view!!

"We just returned from a GREAT week on Lake George. We traveled with three families with kids ranging from 9-15. Without exception, after a few days we all agreed that we must return again next summer. The house was spacious enough for all. We rented a pontoon boat for the week from Chic's Marina- we were tubing and fishing daily. We found a company in town to deliver and pick up kayaks & paddle boards. (Riley's) We had a fire almost every night for s'mores and could hear some music from the village. We found that everyone enjoyed "old time" family fun. Trading in our phones and computers for volleyball, soccer, playing cards around the table. Even the teens in the group were able to accomplish this. We were close enough to the village to allow the teens to walk in on their own. They even found a nearby park to play basketball. The steps leading to the house were a bit steep, but once we unloaded, we were set for the week. The washer/dryer was very convenient to have and made life easier. The "cottage" had all the amenities we needed to prepare meals and store our food and beverages(2 fridges). We chose to cook most nights, as it is difficult to dine with such a large group. We had a great dinner at The Boat House. Every Thursday night the village hosts fireworks & I would say we had the best seats in the house. Although the area offers a variety of activities, we found it difficult to pull ourselves away from the relaxing views and water fun. Maybe next summer we will try parasailing over the lake or even a ride on the Minnie-Ha-Ha that went sailed by many times a day."
