  • House was beyond even our high expectations

"We rented this house for a long winter weekend to celebrate my dad's birthday. We had 11 people, including teenagers and the house was more than comfortable for all of us. Everyone had lots of room. Susan, the caretaker was extraordinary --- helpful, efficient and so lovely. The owners could not have been more responsive. We have rented many houses over the many years of raising children and this house is by far the best we have rented. It is beautiful and beautifully situated. It is spacious, well furnished, well outfitted. With pool table, ping pong, games, Tv in every room, movie theatre downstairs, outdoor hot tub and situated in the more serene setting imaginable --what more could you want. The house was immaculate and well outfitted for cooking with really comfortable beds. We had lots of ideas for things to do in the area but ended up spending most of our time at the house. We just didn't want to leave. I would highly recommend this house for anyone wanting a get-away of any length! Enjoy!"

  • Amazing Lakefront Escape!!

"Don't know where to start! The house was absolutely immaculate upon arrival, I'm talking clean like we were the first people who ever discovered this place. It was very nice to have everything you could ever need from fresh linens to every kitchen gadget, brand new grill, wifi, washer/dryer, to kayaks, floats, life vests, etc.... This was a very nice escape from the madness that lake George can become but close enough that if you decide to venture out its convenient. Sixflags, Martha's ice cream, and glen falls are all around the corner, but you'll soon realize as we did that there really is no reason to leave! Many nights were spent lakeside by the fire pit watching the stars and lake. Days consisted of kayaking, fishing, swimming on the sandy bottom lake front, and drinking many a cold adult beverage on the lake front lounges! Ospreys have a large nest next door and they are quite the sight to watch grab more fish than me or any of my group could catch on rod and reel! All in all not a single complaint, met owner and she's a doll, super accommodating! Can't wait to return for this new family tradition!"

  • Great Vacation 2014

"We had a wonderful week, starting with watching the final game of the World Cup and ending with an evening of kayaking and canoeing on Eagle Lake. We swam just about every day, hiked up 2 mountains (one hard, one easy), took out the canoe and the kayaks several times, used the bbq, played games in the evening at the long table, and croquet between adventures during the day. Everyone loved the week here - 3 boys, all teens (well, one 20-yr-old), my husband and me too. Early mornings were quiet - just us sipping coffee, reading by the windows and sometimes hearing the loon. Nights were peaceful and falling asleep to the sound of the loon, an owl and the breeze in the trees was very relaxing and we wished it could have been 2 weeks. There is plenty to do, but you have to drive a bit - always worth it. The Adirondack Museum was just over an hour (but great), hikes everywhere, a day over to Vermont well worth it, and so much to do we could not get to. No wifi for these otherwise addicts, and no complaints all week. Hope to make it back. It was lovely, the house was very clean, very comfortable, very well-outfitted and very private. The owner checked in to see if all was going well (via phone). Highly recommend this place!"

  • Family Thanksgiving

"We had a wonderful two days at the lodge for Thanksgiving 2014. Ten of us, age range 4 to 84 all had a great time. We did get about a foot of snow on the 26th, we hunkered down and had everything we needed! Including two ovens. It is a true lodge, warm and friendly. This location is on our list for a return visit! Thank you Beth.."
