"Being a single parent safety is always my first concern. With this cottage I have no worries. Just steps off the main street you find yourself in a family friendly area and I felt confident enough to allow my child to have time to himself for an hour or so. Shepards Park Beach is within walking distance as well as Fort William Henry, Million Dollar Beach and Around the World Putt-Putt. It is nice to be able to cook your own meals, sit out on the back porch or just have a cup of coffee while reading the newspaper on the picnic table. Without the added expense of going out for our meals it left me with the extra money to do something special: Kayaking, Extreme Sports, Fishing, or take a ride on a Steamboat. Remember you are just a short drive to Bolton Landing, Albany, Fort Ticonderoga, and Glens Falls. The cottage is clean and comfortable. It is just the right place for someone who doesn't need all the frills of a hotel and just wants a place to call "home" for awhile. This is our second year at the cottage with a planned return visit next year. Terri has been very helpful and willing to help me with any issues that arise. With no doubt I would recommend this cottage to anyone who wants some peace and quite and leave to the vehicle "at home"."

  • perfect location

"This rental property has the perfect location. It's walking distance to everything and allowed us to enjoy the nighttime festivities in th neighborhood. The house was cozy and the owner was a joy to work with. We would definitely rent again."

"We recently stayed at this location and would certainly do it again. We were in the area for a family reunion and the location worked perfectly for our needs. There were some minor issues but we were early in the season and I think we caught things not quite ready for the busier summer season. There were some recent remodeling things not quite finished and some yard, outside issues that appeared still in progress...but overall the house, the location and the help we got from Lori, the owner, made this a really good choice for us. When she says there is room for three vehicles..she means just that, the parking is tight and could benefit from some gravel, as we had some heavy rain and it made things pretty messy. Over-all....really good choice for out group of seven adults and one child. Would definitely like to have had the chance to just relax on the really nice outdoor decks. The kitchen was awesome and well stocked with all the utensils and things we needed."

  • What a gem!

"A great property -- beautifully decorated, spotlessly clean and very unique. Nancy is a great hostess and has thought of everything. The welcome bottle of champagne was such a nice touch. Didn't get a chance to use the antique clawfoot tub, woodburning fireplace or outdoor grill but what great amenities! An easy drive to Lake George Village and a nice find all around."

You could even try your hand at horseback riding, parasailing, kayaking, or riding in hot air balloons.

The Great Escape with Adirondack Mountains Cabins

One of the most exciting ways to spend the day near your Lake George rentals is to make your way to the Great Escape. This amusement park has a little something for the whole family.
