  • Amazing vacation

"Our vacation at Carl and Eileen’s cottage was just amazing experience for us, so relaxing. The cottage is exactly like advertised no surprises, this could be a second home for us. The beds are comfortable and the twin in front room by the windows was everyone’s favorite. Extra blankets are provided which we needed one night. We played games at night no need for a TV but one is provided. The full size frig came in handy for lunches and snacks. They provide a canoe and kayak which we used every morning, thank you. We made a fire outside and made smores. Their dock worked out great for us when we rented a boat for 2 days from Snug Harbor which I highly recommend. We ate at Eddie’s Pasta Restaurant which we also recommend the owner was wonderful along with the rest of staff. I think a visit to the Wind Chill was a must everyday for ice cream and House Pizza came in handy one night. Wal-Mart is close by for groceries and other needs. We went hiking around the corner from the house can’t remember the name of those trails. If you are looking for something to do there is a pick your own fruit Farm down from Wind Chill. Lake George is awesome clean, clear and beautiful great place to relax and explore. Thanks again to Eileen and Carl for making our vacation one of the best. –Austin, TX"

  • Great Vacation 2014

"We had a wonderful week, starting with watching the final game of the World Cup and ending with an evening of kayaking and canoeing on Eagle Lake. We swam just about every day, hiked up 2 mountains (one hard, one easy), took out the canoe and the kayaks several times, used the bbq, played games in the evening at the long table, and croquet between adventures during the day. Everyone loved the week here - 3 boys, all teens (well, one 20-yr-old), my husband and me too. Early mornings were quiet - just us sipping coffee, reading by the windows and sometimes hearing the loon. Nights were peaceful and falling asleep to the sound of the loon, an owl and the breeze in the trees was very relaxing and we wished it could have been 2 weeks. There is plenty to do, but you have to drive a bit - always worth it. The Adirondack Museum was just over an hour (but great), hikes everywhere, a day over to Vermont well worth it, and so much to do we could not get to. No wifi for these otherwise addicts, and no complaints all week. Hope to make it back. It was lovely, the house was very clean, very comfortable, very well-outfitted and very private. The owner checked in to see if all was going well (via phone). Highly recommend this place!"

  • "Outstanding" does not begin to capture how special this place is...

"I grew up looking across the water at Heart Bay on Lake George and in my mind it's paradise. This past June, my family had a reunion and rented three places, including Pine. The Cook family are as attentive as you need but give you your space. Pine Cottage provides perfect lakeside ease. This part of L.George is far from the noise and honkytonk of L.George Village 30 miles south. Where do I start? It's achingly beautiful and full of history, crystal clear water, fantastic sailing, swimming, boating and hiking right outside your door. Everything I treasured from memories of my youth."

  • A Beautiful Home away from Home

"Our stay at the Ticonderoga house on the water was excellent. And, the weather was perfect. Thank you to our gracious hosts: Pete and Ron. The two of us stayed for a week and thoroughly enjoyed walks in town, absorbing the surrounding beauty of the lake and fall foliage. The Ti stores and local restaurants were very welcoming. The house was so much more than what we expected. The description on the website is very modest compared to our experience. The great room gives a wonderful sense of openness and is very comfortable. The kitchen has high-end appliances and is very well done. We stayed downstairs in one of the master bedrooms and took advantage of the private bathroom, the comfortable king size bed and waking to a lovely view of the lake. The patio provides a marvelous view of the lake at sunset. Having access to the canoes and our private dock added to our enjoyment We took the ferry from Ti to Vermont for shopping. It was very convenient. We recommend this home for couples, families or small groups (8-10) people"
