  • House on Glen Lake

"Great vacation spot! Close to everything! The house had beautiful views of the lake. Swimming was amazing and the bike trail to Lake George was awesome. The owner was very helpful in making our stay comfortable. Thanks to Frank!"

  • Fantastic home and setting! Entire experience was perfect and so memorable. Can't wait to return!

"I can't stress enough how awesome my experience was!!! The lake beside this perfect home on Lake George was one of the most jaw dropping and picturesque scenes that I have ever seen and this home was one of the coziest that I have ever seen! As soon as my family walked into the house we felt at home and completely comfortable. It was clearly decorated by a family with great taste. It managed to have that familial, rustic, lived-in vibe; yet somehow maintained a classy feel by selecting beautiful and unique furniture pieces. I would recommend this home to anyone who likes to have fun or needs to relax. There is an amazing porch that's perfect for dining, playing games and relaxing. I personally think it's most beautiful spot in the house with the most breathtaking view. There's also an outdoor table to BBQ and eat outside. Also there's a deck on the the water for cannonballs or laying out (the water is perfect). On top of all that awesomeness- the host family had heard that it was my birthday from my boyfriend and they so kindly left a bottle of fine champagne and some birthday ballons to set the mood. Icing on the cake! My family can't stop talking about this trip :-)"

  • Couldn't ask for anything more!

"PERFECT Adirondack getaway. Pat & Mike have such helpful warm personalities...made us feel right at home. Bolton Landing is a sweet little town; nice shops, great eateries...was a nice time. The location was ideal--so easy to walk to everything--the apt is spacious, woodsy decorated, GREAT new shower, well equipped kitchen, nice off street parking. Couldn't have asked for a nicer place."

  • "Outstanding" does not begin to capture how special this place is...

"I grew up looking across the water at Heart Bay on Lake George and in my mind it's paradise. This past June, my family had a reunion and rented three places, including Pine. The Cook family are as attentive as you need but give you your space. Pine Cottage provides perfect lakeside ease. This part of L.George is far from the noise and honkytonk of L.George Village 30 miles south. Where do I start? It's achingly beautiful and full of history, crystal clear water, fantastic sailing, swimming, boating and hiking right outside your door. Everything I treasured from memories of my youth."

Lake George Travel Tips

Lake George Lodging in the Adirondacks

Retirement communities in places like Florida, Arizona, and other warm states are often where older individuals flock for vacations. Instead, look into Lake George lodging which is perfect for people of all ages. The Adirondacks are normally filled with mountains and hills; however, some Lake George rentals are on flat land that is easy to hike or ski. Your stay at Adirondack Mountains cabins can be for the entire extended family or a simple gathering of your immediate family.

Lake George Rentals close to Olympic Village

At Lake George rentals, you are an hour from Lake Placid, 40 minutes from Mt. Gore, and on the shores of Lake George. There are four exits to alpine skiing and Nordic skiing tracks near Lake George lodging. For winter, you can light a fire in a rock fireplace, and watch the snow falling outside while you read a book. Spend Christmas at Adirondack Mountains cabins where the presents will stay nestled under the tree as the family sits at the kitchen table playing all their favorite board games.

Kayaking around Adirondack Mountains Cabins

Spring and summer in the Adirondacks are just as spectacular as the winter months. Adirondack Mountains cabins are nestled in a forest of trees offering privacy for your days on the lake beach. Swim, water ski, or fish in Lake George from the convenient docks of your Lake George rentals. Also borrow the cabins' kayaks for a night outing onto the lake to watch the moon rise and glimmer over the water.

The Path to Lake George Lodging

Lake George drains into Lake Champlain and the St. Lawrence River which is one reason the lake system was so important during the early centuries of North America. The Native Americans were the first to use the lakes as a way to transport goods and their tribe around the Adirondacks. The French then settled the area before losing control to the British settlers in the 1700s. Lake George lodging has always been a target for tourists due to its convenience to New York City and Montreal, as well as its beautiful countryside.
