  • A Beautiful Home away from Home

"Our stay at the Ticonderoga house on the water was excellent. And, the weather was perfect. Thank you to our gracious hosts: Pete and Ron. The two of us stayed for a week and thoroughly enjoyed walks in town, absorbing the surrounding beauty of the lake and fall foliage. The Ti stores and local restaurants were very welcoming. The house was so much more than what we expected. The description on the website is very modest compared to our experience. The great room gives a wonderful sense of openness and is very comfortable. The kitchen has high-end appliances and is very well done. We stayed downstairs in one of the master bedrooms and took advantage of the private bathroom, the comfortable king size bed and waking to a lovely view of the lake. The patio provides a marvelous view of the lake at sunset. Having access to the canoes and our private dock added to our enjoyment We took the ferry from Ti to Vermont for shopping. It was very convenient. We recommend this home for couples, families or small groups (8-10) people"

  • Great Location for Lake George Visitors

"We really enjoyed our two week stay at Horicon Hill after a four year absence. The newly remodeled kitchen was highly functional and well equipped for our group. The house was well maintained and we loved the new HDTV and Blu-ray DVD player. We thought that Cate's Italian Garden pizza was excellent but call ahead to order as they are packed at dinnertime. The house has lots of parking for cars and boat trailers."

  • Great week at the Haven!

"Susan and Bruce, We are so glad we found out about your place on-line. Your place was a wonderful setting for Linda and I to relax and go down to the lake and meet with others in our family staying in the area. Your place was neat and clean and the open floor plan was perfect for a couple like us. It was wonderful meeting you and Bruce and we will see you next year. -Bob and Linda. Shelton CT"

Lake George Travel Tips

Lake George Lodging in the Adirondacks

Retirement communities in places like Florida, Arizona, and other warm states are often where older individuals flock for vacations. Instead, look into Lake George lodging which is perfect for people of all ages. The Adirondacks are normally filled with mountains and hills; however, some Lake George rentals are on flat land that is easy to hike or ski. Your stay at Adirondack Mountains cabins can be for the entire extended family or a simple gathering of your immediate family.

Lake George Rentals close to Olympic Village

At Lake George rentals, you are an hour from Lake Placid, 40 minutes from Mt. Gore, and on the shores of Lake George. There are four exits to alpine skiing and Nordic skiing tracks near Lake George lodging. For winter, you can light a fire in a rock fireplace, and watch the snow falling outside while you read a book. Spend Christmas at Adirondack Mountains cabins where the presents will stay nestled under the tree as the family sits at the kitchen table playing all their favorite board games.

Kayaking around Adirondack Mountains Cabins

Spring and summer in the Adirondacks are just as spectacular as the winter months. Adirondack Mountains cabins are nestled in a forest of trees offering privacy for your days on the lake beach. Swim, water ski, or fish in Lake George from the convenient docks of your Lake George rentals. Also borrow the cabins' kayaks for a night outing onto the lake to watch the moon rise and glimmer over the water.

The Path to Lake George Lodging

Lake George drains into Lake Champlain and the St. Lawrence River which is one reason the lake system was so important during the early centuries of North America. The Native Americans were the first to use the lakes as a way to transport goods and their tribe around the Adirondacks. The French then settled the area before losing control to the British settlers in the 1700s. Lake George lodging has always been a target for tourists due to its convenience to New York City and Montreal, as well as its beautiful countryside.
